Pinny
Nothing too bad, just some bitter arsed fan whos having a dig at a former Workington rider coming back on form and tearing them a new one. It happens. Think how we felt when we had to put up with Mark Lemon for half a season riding like a slug before he came back and romped to a maximum a few weeks later with Newcastle. Marksman
Spot the Tigers fan https://www.facebook.com/glasgowtigersspeedway/photos/a.722111727804017.1073741829.695900720425118/1446766112005238/?type=3&theater There might be 26 at the semi final It's not that long ago from the early years of the Comets re-forming that we would take coach loads of fans and match or outnumber the number of home supporters at places like Glasgow and Newcastle on a Sunday. I would enjoy the new era bandwagon while it lasts. It's a shame that most clubs nowadays only bring a handful of supporters to an away meeting. Workington used to bring the largest away support to Glasgow in years gone by , sadly not the case anymore there was a very large support from Glasgow at Workington last night long may that continue. topaz325
Good win for Glasgow and a great performance from Rene Bach, well done that man. The Tigers are very strong side and along with Somerset are likely title contenders. Looks like the play offs are out of reach for the Comets, would need a win at Newcastle to get us back on track. Good to see so many Glasgow fans at Derwent Park. Edited September 11, 2016 by topaz325
stoneylegend
Obviously the score aside it was one of the best meetings of the season racing was brilliant Must congratulate Glasgow on the win fully deserved all the riders are clearly riding with confidence and really wanted it,good too see massive away support Not surprised at René and Richard performance around Derwent Park either hope Glasgow go on to win the league now For our lads Ricky and Rasmus were the Stand outs for me Also great to see Stoney back at Workington usual smile on his face along with beer in hand Edited September 11, 2016 by stoneylegend
crazysue
Fair enough Chris, just thought it was a little over the top and unnecessary. Just my point of view that I feel responsible to text in a non whinging manner when I do it. I tend to just text nonsense.....and no I am not being sarcastic this time, I really do text a whole load of silly stuff amongst the more serious, normal stuff, keeps me awake when things are slow or more cheerful when we are losing
KIRKYLANE
Cracking racing with 12 good races out of 15. Best league match I have seen at Workington in a long time.

I'm visiting Whitehaven soon and wondered if the speedway will still be on Well worth a visit. The last two meetings I have seen have been very good, particularly the one against Ipswich. I certainly plan to do at least 2 more. Not sure you are into it, but I also a cracking Rugby League match at Kells (just outside Whitehaven) on Saturday.
