Gunner85
Hope that Rob can sort out a good signing after Josh's retirement. Scunthorpe deserve a bit of luck after the recent bad run re injuries etc.

Halifaxtiger
Not for one minute do I believe Josh is lost to speedway for good ?. Surely he has invested too much of himself and financially over the years just to call it quits for ever. He's a racer and is actually when it boils down to it a very good rider on his day. But he is at this moment out of form and probably after numerous injuries feeling done with the sport right now Speedway cannot afford to be saying bye to riders like Josh Auty he is an entertainer; and we at Scunthorpe know only too well how he has served up the thrills down the years So no; I don't see this as the end of Josh in speedway this is a hiatus to a time when he feels the pressure is off and he can get back to enjoying his racing again. Personally I would like to thank Josh for all his racing efforts he was is and always will be a club legend at Scunthorpe and rightly so. Good luck Josh and thank you Where do we go from here ? Hard to be clear but with Peterborough bringing in Chris Harris, Berwick bringing in the Premier League No 3 rider Nick Morris I think we need to try for a bonefide No1. I would try for Pooles Brady Kurtz or dare I say it Sonersets 2015 No 1 Aussue Rohan Tungate ! is available I know controversial or what? Tungate his history but he rides the track very well indeed. comet49
Hansen would openly admit that Scunthorpe is a track that he doesn't usually do well on (amongst other tracks of course) but I do hope he gets fixed up somewhere and gets settled down , on his day he can be a joy to watch sadly it wasn't to be at Peterborough . Good luck Kenneth. He apparently was a joy to watch at The Showground last season though, strange. As Comets fans found out and others before he' s inconsistent. romans lovechild
tungate would be ideal on a fairly low average, and maybe berge too, who both know the quickest way around the ewr.

proud panther
Hansen was dreadful at Scunthorpe earlier in the season, so don't think it will be him.
screm
Are berge and Vissing available if so let's get them even if it means another change as well Berge and Vissing both available though with having a contract in Poland that could rule Vissing out. IronScorpion
Rene Bach has said he will only come back to a club he would be comfortable at so an old club not new would be his choice. Premiership riders have still not got true averages & end of May was mentioned in many topics. As there is nothing on the averages page saying they will change at a forthcoming date, who knows. Tungate (hate to mention the name) is saddled with a 9.03 average but has completed 4H 4A so his average will drop to 5.09. Berge, however, is still saddled with his 6.91 as he has only ridden 2H 3A to reach a low average of 4.55 Auty at 6.72 Bailey at 2.53 remaining average of 0.87 gives us 10.12 to play with unless more changes made. June
No Tungate please!. Riders get hurt in pure racing accidents but to have Tungate ride full pelt into a rider you love is unforgivable. I wont ever forget that. He should have been sacked!
jenga
i dont understand why fans dont want k.k.h.in their team . borrowers fans were crying out for him to sign for 2017. he always starts slow and then suddenly it all comes together . rene bach will only ride for newcastle or glasgow .. viss is a good shout as well . so sad to see josh retiring . i remember him when he came to workington in his early years , cleaning out almost everyone on the centre green . a true entertainer in his early years .. happy retirement josh .. see you in 2018 !
Dandelion
Can't be Rohan, Scunthorpe fans hold grudges too much for that to happen It wasn't even on purpose, it was clearly an accident lol... Although I better not say that..... People will get mad..

proud panther
Ulrich is good round Scunthorpe, but his engines seem too slow for a big track like Peterborough.

The problem with waiting for KKH is while we are waiting for him to hit some kind of form the playoffs are slipping away , but his performances this season have not justified him being part of the team .
Moranboys
sorry for rob and all of the scunthorpe fans on josh auty,s announcement.if anyone thinks josh<s enthusiasm has gone then it didn't seem that way in the british semi final.after a couple of average rides he rode like a demon.just like the josh we have come to know and love.he has been an absolute icon at scunthorpe and, for whatever his decision to stop riding hope that supporters at all the clubs that josh has ridden for will appreciate his efforts in every single race that he has appeared in.josh has been a true stalwart for the scorpions and i and i would imagine all of the other speedway supporters up and down the country will remember his all action style and all of the terrific races in which he has been involved in.chin up mr godfrey and i know that you will come back fighting.best wishes in what i know will be a difficult time to find a replacement and all the best to josh in whatever he goes on to pursue.
