Still prefer Friday nights I can't make all of Sundays meetings

I also preferred Friday nights as speedway is far better at night , tried to make as many meetings as i could last year but i'm afraid after 55 years watching i can now take it or leave it so the earlier time might be a problem, definately wouldn't go with a 1500hrs start

I can make Sundays but I prefer Friday nights, too (although Sundays means I can do Belle Vue as well, rather than having to choose).

Thing is Rob Godfrey made it clear why he switched and I couldn't argue with his reasoning.

One thing is certainly true : the quality of the speedway at the best racing track in the country didn't deteriorate one iota.

Went only once last year to Scunny v Somerset and that was the best nights racing i saw all year.

Unfortunately you can't please everybody all of the time and some you can't please at any time.

i think that is totally true,5.30 sunday starts totally kill me getting there for most meetings but i think it is the right call to bring it forward an hour,

i still miss friday nights tho!

I was doing the updates that day and words started to fail me it was that amazing.

Get yourself up. The Ipswich meeting is usually a good one, Auty's fantastic ride to beat King and Sarjeant was as special as anything that I saw last season and the year before had everything. Brilliant racing, punch ups on the pits and on the track and a sit in.

Nice to see Josh Auty back with Leicester.

Can't believe Ryan Douglas hasn't got a Premiership place.

No dis-respect to Douglas but there are far more experienced riders at that level without a spot on similar averages so it is perhaps not surprising he hasnt got a place. Edited by Gazc

Check out this weeks Comic..errr sorry I mean Star..Its a Scorps delight one for your bedroom/office wall - cracking pic Bullet doing great work again?

Wliko's got himself smack bang on the front cover ! Running an article on his 'age being no barrier'

Good sign that Speedways just around the corner. An Evening with Nigel & Kelvin next Wednesday for us at Halifax Golf Club too.

Anyone seen that Leicester Lions 1-7 ? - if we raced them; and Big Josh rode for us - anyone else think we would be beat them ?; because I do.

Just a thought.

Whilst Leicester haven't got the best team in the prem, they'd absolutely demolish any team in the Championship, especially Scunthorpe.

Yep one of my Photos!! Been a while since i had a front cover. We could do with a good season this year to hopefully get some more.

I think we have a good chance this year, all we need is a bit of luck with injuries and to get everyone firing straight away.

I love how everyone says we will be poor but the same team was riding well and winning against teams that now have a lot lower average. A lot of teams seem to be hoping the 2pt riders will be a lot higher or that the heavy top end always perform.

I also think we will have a 3 way battle at the top of the team for the number 1 spot with lewis and ryan pushing Josh hard with MPT then hot on their heels. And at the bottom end i think young Josh will be better after his learning last season and again we should always have one of the best reserves in the league alongside him.

Biggest factor i can see will be how many riders will be changing over to Gerhard engines and how long it will take to get used to the way they ride. We know the engines are just as competitive as a GM but setups seem to be a dark art times getting everything matched up (especially when we are away from home!)
