Aces51
I am over it thanks, you need to get over gogglegate! When did I last mention gogglegate, not this year. However, as you insist on drawing a comparison that was a breach of the rules because he started the race without wearing them but the referee didn't spot it. Just be grateful. LisaColette
you talk much crap its unreal!! Of course what happened earlier affected the result!!! What planet you on!!! Zagar lost a point hitting the fence and then an engine failure when Belle Vue looked likely to get a 5-1 made it that you still had a chance come heat 14. To look at one incident and no others shows you up totally as a blinkered fan.Erm Foreverblue said the same thing but you don't call them a blinkered fan..?
Steve Shovlar
Â Just one last point to Shovlar - I find your post about Clare Balding rather offensive and I'm surprised nobody else has commented on it. She may not be gorgeous she may not be skinny and her sexual preference is her own business! Unnecessary and rather nasty. Balding is repulsive. I can't stand her mannerisms, her comentating, I don't see any redeeming features about her at all. Even worse than Gabby Logan and that's saying something. Erm Foreverblue said the same thing but you don't call them a blinkered fan..? My point, which holds completely true, flies way above the intellect of Gavan. Â The ef in heat 14 cost us finishing top of the league. There can be no argument over this. It is a fact, not opinion.

The only fact is poole lost, belle vue deservedly won.

Well for a 'repulsive' human being she's doing rather well for herself!!! If only you had an ounce of what she has then maybe, just maybe you wouldn't come across as obnoxious and lairy. Both Ms Balding and Gabby do a brilliant job presenting NOT commentating (what's comentating?). You can't even get that right, HA,HA!!
Steve0
I didn't see his post but I would like to say that Clare Balding is one of the best sports presenters on the box. She has a warmth about her , is knowledgeable about sports in general and does a terrific job in presentation. Well done to her - I wish she was on more often

She does a superb job.

What her physical appearance and sexual preference has to do with anything is only in Shovlar's unsavoury mind.

Ace no.5
I was just making a point. Sometimes decision go for you, sometimes against you. As for the Kurtz EF costing poole top spot as FACT... I disagree. It cost poole the CHANCE of a 5-1 in that heat, nothing more. There were still over 2 laps to go in the race. We could have been on the wrong end of a 5-1 when the ef occured, but the ef would still have ended Poole's ability to finish top. The fact that we were on a 5-1 makes it more of a bitter pill.  Still, hopefully we will have the opportunity to correct this setback in the playoffs. ABS
It is a fact, whatever way you look at it. Not conjecture, not opinion. The ef cost Poole finishing top of the league. Its undisputable. Not a fact. Maybe Cookie wouldn't have experimented in Heat 15, or even rode to the line if the result was in doubt. Maybe Lemon would have chosen Zagar, who could have gated and beaten the two Pirates. All ifs buts and maybes - only one fact on offer and that's The Aces won.
SteveLyric2
Give it a rest guys. BV won by a miserly 3 points and Pirates lost by 3. Â As much as Lemo and the official meeting report puts a super spin on what a great win it was - I'm certain I know which manager is secretly more pleased. More of that in the play-offs please. hagonshocker
Ha,ha,ha!! This thread is mostly the same old pony being posted by the same old posters who never disappoint. Â I personally really enjoyed the meting and thought the track was superb. I'm quite jealous of the BV supporters getting to watch speedway of that quality week in and week out. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying our track at Poole is bad, it's just that BV's new track is without doubt the best track in the country. Period. Â As for Pearson & Tatum...love them or loathe them they certainly keep things lively which is what a fast and exciting sport like speedway needs. Tatum also seems to have become a bit of a comedy man with some of his retorts to Pearson. That's definitely a step in the right direction. You couldn't have won the meeting if Zagar hadn't firstly hit the fence and secondly had an engine failure!!! How about that for a fact!!! The ef for Kurtz would have been irrelevent. Plus how do you know what would have happened if Brady kept going? He could have slid off anything!!! Plus if needed Worrall and Cook wouldn't have took it easy in heat 15 and tested equipment!!! You live in a very strange little Shovlar bubble. Failing to see anything else in the meeting bar Kurtz ef.
