You can check standing pre sales just keep click left. The capacity is wrong due to the current temporary stands and this is why blocks are booked out.

There around 150 season tickets sold.

Any rent we owe the council is up to date as are riders wages.

Should be good tonight. I'm hoping we can seek it but Poole are in the box seat with the relative team chsmges.

If Speedway is a minority sport in Manchester it doesnt matter how you promote it you will still struggle to get people in.

Look at Bradfords stadium it was never full as wasnt a speedway town.

 

Its not like Poole where there is nothing to do except stare at a few boats and make sure that your new girlfriend is your cousin.

 

The jealousy coming out of Dorset regarding Belle Vue is so loud.

Face facts that speedways biggest club has a great stadium and racetrack, something Poole fans dont seem to like.

Worrall has gone out of form

I don't think many Poole fans are jealous. The stadium is a fantastic facility and we all want it to succeed.

Hans got 6 last time and Bucko 4, Tungate got 3 at Poole the other day against a very weak team. We will see but rather have Hougaard than Tungate on current form, can't be any worse than Klindt at Wolves, that is actually impossible!!

Regardless of it being on Sky the crowd SHOULD be big. Its a top of the table clash with loads riding on it. If a big crowd doesn't come through the gate, is the sport viable in Manchester?

 

Quite right, Steve. But you're just showing up what I have always said, that is, there should be NO live league speedway on TV - fans, if they want to see speedway, should go to the tracks and pay to get in, not sit at home or in the pub watching it on the box

There is only one poole fan showing jealousy of the stadium, and he's clearly not very bright. Shovvy for example has given the new stadium and track plenty of praise.

To say poole should win by 10 is ludicrous. It's close and could go either way. Zagar and holder, worrall and Ellis, hougarrd and tungsten, cook and buzz, not a lot in it. Nicholls should outscore kurtz but pedersen will likely outscore worrall. Jacobs has been flying and could match Newman. Whichever side rides best on the night will win, but these are very even reams and to say either side "shoukd" win by 10 is ridiculous IMHO.

Im not jealous at all darling why should i be yes its a good track i just don't think they do enough promotional work and yet some of the clowns on here are making it all sound super dupa, it ain't. As i said people have far more things to do nowadays compared to the 60's and 70's. You have to keep sticking it under peoples noses. Thats why Matt gets the crowds the sponsors which he works hard to get and in turn brings success. Its really not rocket science. And before anybody screams, we do have a premier league fooball club just up the road and another 25 miles further on. But if your not prepared to work then you won't get the success. It won't just come to you..And in BV 's case with the council pulling the strings doesn't help.. But nobodys going to agree with me, of course they won't.

Belle Vues promotional work has been piss poor, but baseline support is there. They've had huge crowds a couple of times this season. They really need to sort out the presentation though and make the whole thing a family frienly night out, as they've failed badly at this aspect.

 

The over the top H&S regime and the no food rule won't do it any favours though.

I'm pretty sure clubs get £10k when a meeting is televised.

 

Belle Vue now have the biggest seasonal speedway attendance in the UK.

 

Legal matters are ongoing as the track/stadium was not delivered fit for purpose. Belle Vue have reimbursed customers following the contractors debacle that led to the Craven abandonment.

This has severely impacted the budgeted figures for marketing and other administration issues the academy being one of them.

 

Hopefully when matters are resolved Belle Vue will, with the backing of speedway fans nationwide, continue to move forward.
