Pirate Nick
So 5% in advance and 95% 'on the gate' as in arrive shortly before the meeting having not already bought a ticket?A lot would depend on who the visiting team is and when it is being held. I bought a ticket in advance for our bank holiday visit (good forecast not a school night) as I didn't fancy queuing but I wouldn't buy one for Monday because sky are in town so lower attendance and I might not be able to make any re run. Ace no.5
Starman are you saying that 95% pay on the gate at BV?! Judging by pre-ticket sales for tomorrow that means we are expecting a crowd over 13k...
Pirate Nick
So you're not going on Monday anyway?Sadly not, can't get the time off. Would do otherwise, thoroughly enjoyed the last Poole visit. Fantastic track, some great racing and will definately visit again.

Gemini
......Starman2006...........Dont forget the rent boys....... Blimey it's all going on at Belle Vue these days. Shame they don't allow dogs or I'd pay a visit and see if there are any nice ones available cheap.
waiheke1
Cheap swipe from somebody that doesn't even know me.So are you saying you are only pretending to be stupid? Otherwise I think you have presented more than enough evidence on here for people to make their own judgements.Do you really think belle vue get upwards of 10k attendance each meeting. In a stadium with a capacity of 6k? No wonder there are delays at the turnsyles!
foreverblue
Here's a link to the booking page if that helps. http://purchase.tickets.com/buy/TicketPurchase?agency=BVA_&organ_val=47609&schedule=list Click on the meeting and then select 'click here to choose your seat from the plan' button. (You need a desktop or something like Firefox on a tablet in desktop mode to work). If you want an exact figure you can open each block and physically count each taken seat, I just add up the available seats and take the total off the capacity which is about 1840. About 670 sold so far, still below the wolves sky meeting which was over 700. Whats the standing capacity and is there a way of checking advance sales? damosuzuki
But do the 700 sold include season tickets? If you took them away it would make it easier to understand. Eg 400 season 300 advance and 600 gate. Agree two home fixtures in a week has happened often and is a disgrace for these clubs after the lack of fixtures in the actual summer. woodenspoon
How much does Sky TV pay to show a meeting ? Does it cover the missing stay at home fans, because it is on TV, ? AS for the result of the meeting, it could go either way, looking at Zagar's score in the last GP, and Steve Worrall & Craig Cook's score in the PLRC, it does not fill me with any confidence that Belle Vue will get the win they need. Towards the tail end of their last meeting together, Poole looked to be getting dialled in to the track. B.V 72
They do mate, in most stadiums, but apparantely not in there new super dupa 2 sided stadium. Really getting above themselves and imaginations really running riot. Dont forget the rent boys, you don't want to upset your council Are you insinuating that our local councilors have a liking for rent boys. hyderd
No jealousy here mate, and yes its a good track, but they are going a tad overboard dont you think. KEITH M
Advanced sales looking better, over 650 sold now. Someone said 75% of the crowd pay on the day which means a likely attendance of 2,600 which isnt bad for Belle Vue. It probably still won't look that big on TV but I don't think that really matters does it? To some on here size does matter, infact the size of the crowd is more important than the actual racing to some. Me personally I go to watch the racing and not the crowd though the odd low top on a female might grab my attention... It actually wouldn't bother me if I was the only fan in the stadium as it's the 2 teams that I pay my money to go to see
colin wood
If you count last wed v Leicester and the Colts match on Fri its four home meetings in a week at BV ,ridiculous really when some weeks in summer we had none. B.V 72
I can see why a Belle vue fan would take an interest in the size of the crowd as we all want the club to do well. But all the interest from all the other fans i dont understand its as if they get some delight from a reported low crowd and want the club to fail. The Elite league needs every club it has to survive if a clubs fails it damages the future of the whole league.

SUPERACE
Belle Vue stronger now nicholls is in, i hate r/r, Should be cracker of a meeting. As for advanced sales i did say about 75% pay on the day but i wasnt counting season ticket holders. Im certain that those advanced sales on the website include season tickets. I think for the playoffs though a lot will buy in advance me included.

Of course it does. And perhaps that's why fans of other clubs are interested in the attendances of Belle Vue. There are not very pleasant rumours going around about the viability of the club. Not enough people coming through the turnstiles to pay the bills. We don't want to see the club fold or the stadium be reposessed by the council because the payments have not been met. Regardless of it being on Sky the crowd SHOULD be big. Its a top of the table clash with loads riding on it. If a big crowd doesn't come through the gate, is the sport viable in Manchester? Or is Belle Vue screaming out for new promoters with fresh ideas to get people to turn up? There's nothing wrong with the product, the racing is great. With a capacity of just 6000, it really shouldn't be difficult to get the place packed out with so many people in the Greater Manchester area.
