Tsunami
Well, it is looking like that Somerset are top and Glasgow will get second spot. Somerset will get first pick, and I think they will go for Peterborough. PB may have strengthened the top end(twice), but there has been damage to the bottom end so they overall will be weaker. Glasgow are an unpredictable team with some riders offkey in most of their wins. Much stronger at top end with indifference at the bottom. I think they will go for Edinburgh. Somerset will then pick Sheffield as they have had good results against them, and Sheffield do not all ride to their best unless it's some meetings at home. They will not want Newcastle. Glasgow will then receive Newcastle as the last pick. Leagues would then be SOMERSET(F), PETERBOROUGH(any), SHEFFIELD(Th) GLASGOW(Su), EDINBURGH(F), NEWCASTLE(Su), The two Friday tracks are apart, but the Sunday tracks are in the same league. Shouldn't be a real problem but, if they both race on their day, a Sunday has been lost to both clubs and racedays could be reduced through rainoffs. Might be pressure for Glasgow to change their second pick. Well, that's my take on the situation. Would you like to share yours ? Pob
You better check the Speedway GB site as its all change Beat me to it Blobby , yes you are correct read the same as you on the site PLAY-OFF PICTURE - HOW IT WORKS - Each team meets each other once home and once away.- The top six teams then progress to the play-offs to decide the Premier League Championship.- Every Play-Off tie will be raced on a knockout basis, with the first and second placed clubs progressing directly to the semi-finals. Quarter-finals: 3rd v 6th and 4th v 5th. Semi-finals: 1st v 4th/5th, 2nd v 3rd/6th.- In the event of a tie on aggregate in the Final, the outcome will be determined by Golden Heats Format. We'll race on a Friday once Edinburgh are pumped out.
ruffdiamond
is the league position at 'cut off' your qualifying postion ???,,, so would Newcastle need to head Glasgow before 'cut off' to gain the shorter route (semi final),,, when is the cut off ? BTW Dave,,, have you dropped a clanger, or just not caught up yet, or has the rules changed again and you know, but not everyone else does ??? Cut off date is the 19th September and league position on that date determines the 1st & 2nd straight to the semi-final.

Cheers,,, so Glasgow have Edin and Worky away,,, and Newcastle have Ippo H & A, Plymouth A and Worky H to pile up some points before 19th, could be interesting,,, we could do with 2nd spot as we have the KOCup to fit in aswell,,, busy, busy, busy
