Reviresco
Well done to Stead. Just goes to show the state British speedway is in when 3 of the top 4 from the British Final cant make the top 4 and 2 of them didnt even make the top 6! I'd say the state of British speedway is very healthy and in good hands given the standard of the young riders that I have had the privilege to watch at NL level this year. Maybe you should come out (?) from behind your frock and smell the methanol again Gavan. You are becoming a bitter negative ex speedway supporter and there is no place for that in 2016 fella. Poultec and Olly Allen (and others) deserve a huge slap on the back. (Birmingham would make a great place to stage the PLRC in my opinion. The knowledgeable fans there would lap it up and support it. IMO, it has to be moved from Owlerton now.)
jenga
Birmingham seems a good shout for me . pretty central and looks a decent stadium . ok , not as posh as sheff , but a leveler for all competing . time to move it . imo.
Baldyman
No don't move it there. Miles away from the track with low level viewing. Not good for short people.
ruckerroo
The viewing at birmingham is diabolical
TheScotsman
Have to agree with baldyman - the viewing was crap the last time I was there. Maybe they've raised the terracing though!!

I have had no problems viewing this season - just finding the car park and getting there in time. Got is sussed now thanks to kitten2505 and uk martin. And the locals may talk funny, but I'd take them over the majority of fans from other parts of the country. Mega supportive, appreciative and welcoming. Nice race track too and I am sure they could put up a couple of temp stands down the back straight for a meeting like the PLRC. Lets face it, they pay the riders diddly squat. Pint of lager at over £4 is a bit steep though - sorry Mr Hume :-)

Id say that just indicates exactly how close the el and pl are in terms of strength. Take out five or 6 riders and theres nothing in it. Go back ten years and the gulf was huge, now its not. I seriously think somerset at home would of beaten some of the patched up teams certain el clubs have fielded this season.

Yes the leagues are close........indicates how poor the standard is of British riders. Go back to the early 90's and it was 1 maybe 2 premier league boys who made it. I can remember Louis and Les Collins in 1990 and Goodwin in about 93.
jenga
its always going to be close in terms of el and pl strength , because most of the riders ride both leagues .
