Can understand the Pairs & PLRC but now that the 4's is a 2 day event would be worth keeping at Peterborough

Peterborough could have entered three teams if it was held this month, must have used bout 12 riders. Seeded the 3 of them to final with one other final place up for grabs.

Sorry I know this is deviating from actual subject, but always hoping some one from the bspa with some savy (maybe a contradiction there) reads these and understand what the fans want and what would benefit the sport as a whole, not just their own little empire.

If rumours of what riders were paid for the fours are true, think this may be short lived or else there may be a rider shortage next year.

Much preferred the old system of local qualifiers and the final as a full meeting.

100% Agreed.

It was part of the deal with Manchester Council that it was named National Speedway Stadium. Helped swing it I believe.

The voice of reason... Well, if it is, it should be used as such. Hope it is in the future as don't like the track advantage that both Sheffield (PLRC) and EoES (Fours) gives to certain riders and teams (and I don't mean simply the homesters). I always liked the BL2 Final at Wimbledon and the Pairs at Waterden Road. Remember two outstanding occasions: Sam Fox.

can't say am particularly interested. My money on Graham Plant think the first winner !

Love It. Come On Graham!

PMSFL. Brilliant. Though they may sack some of their teams riders during the meeting...

TBH, whilst it would be fitting for Danny King to win it this year, I would love Eddie to win it for all the service he has put into speedway and to Rye House in particular. Never gets the plaudits he deserves imo. Maybe hold the PLRC at the new improved Hoddesdon next season.....

Is Garrity riding ???

Fell in his 1st heat last night at Foxhall then pulled out of the meeting after his 2nd ride , has he aggravated the injury again or did he do it as the tigers were already getting smashed apart and no point in taking a chance as meeting was already lost .

If he does not take his place who will be the replacement ?

Tungate is probably next in line, may depend on when/if slot becomes available and who can get prepared/is available

BRITISH Champion Danny King says victory in Sunday’s Premier League Riders’ Championship would cap off a memorable year on a personal level.

The Ipswich skipper heads to Sheffield as one of the meeting favourites with his British Final exploits having been followed by a Wild Card at Cardiff and a silver medal when representing GB in the World Cup Final.

King said: “To win the PLRC has been one of my goals for a long time now and if I could do that then that really would be the only way I could make this unbelievable year even more memorable!

“Sheffield is a track the majority of riders enjoy racing on – it’s a track you can build up plenty of speed on and on its day it serves up some great racing.

“Hopefully that will be the case on Sunday because it’s always a well supported event and I think it’s consistently one of the best meetings of the season.”

Might as well give Oystercard the gig.

The Teflon kid as I say he should now be known.

After all he has survived the whole season at Peterborough....

These events should be held on neutral tracks, PL events held on EL tracks and vice/versa

Nice idea in theory but the only track without a rider is Poole and that wouldnt be a good place to have it.

Belle Vue - Cook, Worrall

Wolves - Masters

Swindon - Josh G

Lakeside - Kennett, Lawson

Coventry - King , Garrity

Kings Lynn - Lambert

Leicester - Auty
