foreverblue
I'm sure you are Steve but he has had it easy at reserve & now looks more ragged on a bike than the previous 2 seasons. You criticise Garrity but Kyle was just like him last night & at Swindon the other week. I'm just surprised that he has stagnated & so many riders from the original EDR have left him behind. You should have seen Kyle Howarth monday all over the place, he looked quicker than last i saw him but looked like an accident waiting to happen. Steve Shovlar
Just watched last nights meeting back on Youtube and have to say it was very entertaining regardless of the score. How can anyone say it was a snooze fest is beyond me. Loads of great racing all evening. Mind you we are spoilt at Poole with a very good racetrack that allows passing off every bend. Have to say I agree about Lambert. He was abysmal last night. Gifted two of his points last night with an ef of Tungate and no Holder in 15. Last night should have been a meeting he would have thrived in. A proper race track with loads of racing lines but he was awol. A young lad should be up for it every meeting. Following him this year Ellis is catching fast. A far better gater, has track craft and is also a youngster. Just needs to learn how to adjust his gear when the track slickens off. foreverblue
Why is it being negative to give an opinion? Kyle Newman is a young brit who gives 110% every time he gets on a bike and has been a good servant for Poole, and is a good rider for them to have in the team and the fans love him. All im saying is he has been left behind by some riders and passed by others. 3 years time we could see Garrity, Worrall, Ellis and Bates in the GB team. Will Newman? Personally i would say no. Agree with that, the Worrall's are strange as Steve seems to be going the right way which can't be said of Richard who should be cleaning up at reserve but isn't. It remains to be seen if Garrity can make as a top rider, personally think he will fall short.

You are quite right but it is an opinion but it is a negative opinion in my view. In my opinion Jason Garrity hasn't improved this season after being in the British Final last year and still looks a little wild on the bike, but I am not going to say he has peaked or gone backwards and still is a talent. Jason Doyle is probably a prime example of having a few seasons for a while at reserve where he had to figure a lot out and now he is probably the best rider in the world at the moment. Tony Rickardsson also took time to bloom as did Hans Nielsen. Speedway is just one of those sports that is easy to learn but takes years to master and you don't know who will do great and who will be good. I expected Lewis Bridger and David Howe to finish a better rider than Tai Woffinden and there is still time for Bridger to do this and you can go further back to Mark Loram and John Louis who were a class act after lots of dedication to get it right. All the British riders still have time and hopefully injuries will stay away.

Can't agree with that statement. Jason Garrity has been immense for Coventry and Sheffield since he came back from his arm injury. Coventry in particular really missed him in the weeks he was out injured. Just a shame his EL racing has come to a premature end this season.
tellboy
I don't see how anyone can say Lambert was abysmal SS,virtually scored his average away from home in the HL position to the mighty reigning champions in Poole.Well thats how you like them to be known isnt it. As most people have stated yes he can't gate for toffee, hopefully this is something he can learn to do.Once he does this(if he does)he will be one the best British riders we have, which to be honest he nearly is now . Just watched the meeting again on Catch up after seeing it live last night and being part of a decent crowd giving MPT and Eddie a standing ovation. Also been catching up with some of the usual post meeting comments on here. Just for Gavan, in the immortal words of Del Boy Trotter - " Shut up you t**t!!" (Just had to get that off my chest ). Gavan clearly glued to your screen last night, I hope you didn't run out of boxes of tissues. In other related issues, 7 points for each of our EDR's will do me. Carry on like that boys, no problem. Not sure if it will be Adam or Brady that drops to reserve next when BP goes up to the 1-5 again - more likely Brady!! . As for a replacement during the '7-day window' I guess there will only be one as otherwise Poole will have to re-declare which they will find virtually impossible with their current team average. With Hans' operation being deferred to this coming weekend I imagine it is his place under threat. Lots of names being bandied about up to a 7.15 average, and as mentioned last night Matt and Middlo have probably already got it sorted to be announced anytime after the 14th!! Buzz should be back next week unless Hans declares himself fully fit after the op, in which case a replacement for Buzz up to 6.50 will be the option..

Passing off of every bend??? Well only from one rider. Lambert wasnt great last night but it happens. The only racing line was a out wide but if you got to close you went backwards. Riders lifting all over the place. Look at heat 14 all 3 riders lifted and headed towards the fence allowing Kennett a huge gap to go past. I don't see how anyone can say Lambert was abysmal SS,virtually scored his average away from home in the HL position to the mighty reigning champions in Poole.Well thats how you like them to be known isnt it. But hey, let me not get in the way of you having a small dig at another poole rider, can't get away from it, can you. Lol give it up pal Because he rides for Poole im not allowed an opinion right?? Ive praised Ellis or did you miss that conveniently??? If he has mechanical issues has that been all season. i have praised Newman for his efforts but he hasnt come on at all thats my opinion and one shared by many. Ellis has gone past him and so have others, and others have left him behind. If you dont like people having opinions then dont come on a forum! LisaColette
Was superb at Wolves and funnily enough superb at Belle Vue. I for one am more than happy with his contribution. Not everyone is going to be a world champion but Kyle always gives 100% to the cause. Cant understand fans slagging him off.Gavan isn't a fan!

Starman2006
Gavan isn't a fan! He's not even an ippo fan, but likes to portray himself as one, although he never contrabutes to there threads. Funny that. He just has a massive issue with Poole. The way he goes on you would think he was an ex sponsor with a grudge. weird.. Thing is we don't have ex sponsors with grudges, so that counts him out. OveFundinFan
One of the benefits of Lambert being a poor gater is that he will learn how to race from the back. If he was a brilliant gater now, where would he get his experience from to come from the back. Hopefully he will get better at his gating, but for now it just might benefit him to learn to race and pass.

Just a shame his EL racing has come to a premature end this season. That's a fair point and I you are right as statistically he has improved his average by a point. I was probably hoping he would have come on in leaps and bounds like Steve Worrall or Adam Ellis but like Kyle Newman he is learning a lot and hopefully both riders next season will take it to a new level.

It sounds like your saying one of them will be replaced surely if they are fit the best option would be to keep both of them. If needed surely both could be replaced on a like for like basis. Apparantly is absolutely fine for me to say that Ellis is having a good season and has improved. But if i say Newman hasnt improved then im a troll.......got to love some Poole fans logic. Must remember your not allowed to be negative towards any Poole riders
