Steve Shovlar
Poole travel to Wolverhampton on Monday for the elite league B fixture. Terrible hunting ground for Poole over the years and Monday is likely to be no different. Watching the two meetings on Sky this week proves what a tricky little track it is for away riders, with falling and wobbling around getting the bends wrong to allow the home riders through. Wolves fans will defend their track obviously but would I want to watch this every week? Meh. Not sure yet whether Hans will be back or not. He does go OK around there so hope he has recovered. Not sure it will make a great deal of difference to be honest though and expect Wolverhapton to win convincingly. 53-37ish. For Pirates to get 40 has to be seen as a success. Thoughts? foreverblue
Well i am going to this one and i very rarely don't enjoy the racing at Monmore, It may be a small track but has wide bends and you do get a lot of passing. If Hans can't make it Danny King would be a good guest, please not Nicholls don't want another Belle Vue rider guesting and putting in a terrible performance. LisaColette
For us to get anything from the meeting Tai and Masters will have to have a shocker and every Poole rider to have a good meeting, can't see it. Pretty much the same score as the A meeting.

To me the lots of passing is mostly caused by away rider error and the home rider behind taking full advantage. I have been to Monmore dozens of times and I much prefer bigger tracks. It's just a personal thing. Why not use Harris if available. He is not blocked by the 7 day rule as it was Wolves who used him.

Steve Shovlar
You prefer gate and go winbourne road to monmore ?? Gate and go Wimborne Road? Are you kidding me? Been to every EL track loads of times and only Belle Vue this year has been better to the racing served up on a weekly basis at Poole. We are lucky that we have a track which allows passing on every bend, as was witnessed last night. I like to see proper passes, not a rider nearly crashing in the fence or losing control to allow a pass. Wolverhamptons track is not to everyones liking. I prefer fast speedway, not riders going backwards into bends. Its a personal preference. To me Belle Vue have got the perfect track, which is the exact opposite to Monmore Green. Some prefer Monmore. Edited September 2, 2016 by Steve Shovlar
Bagpuss
I think big tracks are best but Wolves is probably the best little un out there, always decent racing IMO. Wolves should win this by 10-12.

I have been to Monmore dozens of times and I much prefer bigger tracks. It's just a personal thing. Personal choice is fine. Plenty of passing opportunities at Wolves and little to do with rider error. It could be one of the main reasons why Wolves is regularly voted best race track. When was the last time a so called better bigger track was voted best race track? I prefer to watch a meeting on a track that is well prepared and offers good race lines and has enough dirt on to allow passing throughout. I couldn't care less what size or length the track is , it's all about the track prep everytime for me. Wolves mastery (or Doc Bridgett to be precise) of track prep makes it what it is. I can imagine the NSS will win the award this season, and rightly so. As for Monday Masters may not be fully fit and he has been a massive part of our success this season so his fitness could have a huge bearing on the meeting. Poole have won often at Monmore in recent seasons so don't buy this 'we generally aren't good at Monmore' line. On paper all of their riders have had great meetings at wolves so could be very dangerous if they all click. Still expect Wolves to score 50 points but Poole are a dangerous team at Wolves. The perfect occasion to give you an opportunity to speak to Tai about your 'supposed' reliable source information..!! Should be a cracking meeting and it's times like this work is a real pain in the butt.

Dickie Head
New averages effective for this meeting. The Poole website confirms that Scott Nicholls has been booked to guest for Hans Andersen. Won't make any difference to a comfortable home win. Steve Shovlar
Oh dear. Doesn't matter who we have booked we will still get beaten fairly easily. Wanted to make it up for this but doubt it will happen as I am in Lewes in Sussex on Monday.
Panthers89
Nicholls won't score far from what Hans would, maybe even more as very erratic this season Hans.
LisaColette
Oh dear.We don't need Scott to help us lose. We are quite capable of doing that on our own!

Racing at Monmore pre 2011 used to be some of the best in the country. Agree with what you say thou, about 95 % of the passes at Monmore now are up the inside with riders going wide and getting passed up the inside. Unfortunately not a lot happens around the outside these days at Monmore and away teams seem quite generous giving Lindgren and Karlsson a run up the inside. Red Flag
Most riders have ridden Wolves enough times now to know how it should be ridden, if they can't then they are either not very clever or lack enough skill on a bike to ride the right lines, as for Scott Nicholls it must be his best track so wouldn't worry about him scoring well
LisaColette
I'd more comfortable if it was Harris. But oh well! Scott it is.
