stevethelion
Wasn't Ludwig injured, so could ride for neither team? Hurt back? I read on Twitter he returned to Sweden to get treatment for a back injury. Think that's why he was missing? Or was that last week? What day is it? Anyway Swindon by 12. This was before he hurt his back, 4th August at Poole
Crazy robin
Can't see Leicester without Brady Kurtz at reserve coming close in this meeting. Think the updates from Kings Lynn will be popular tonight amongst Robins fans.
Speedy swindon pete
Awful awful racing so far. Piss poor for a 17 quid product.
Crazy robin
Palm-Toft was decent when he rode a few years ago for Belle Vue at The Abbey.
Steve0
Well done to the Roobins and Morris with a 5 ride maximum too. Need to keep it up for away to Lakeside and BV
hagonshocker
If Swindon and lakeside finish level on match points does points for and against come into play?
Teromaafan
Three heat leaders contribute a total of 5, guest reserve bags more than double anyone else's score. Poole home win already a distant memory, roll on winter (followed by Premier League racing next year hopefully).

Ovalman
Decent crowd and weather for what could be last meeting at the abbey, below average racing, 3 maxes for the roobins. Great news Doyley signing for another 2 years, to go with the positive news on the stadium. Things looking up for the Robins, just need to get something in Manchester or Essex. Sign that Palm Soft geezer! Good to see all riders in crowd afterwards, should be done more often. Also good to listen to centre-green interviews with Sir Don Rogers, Local Mp Thommo, and El Tel Russell. Sidney the robin
A better crowd than i anticipated ,the meeting was ok some decent races cant understand why this once great track produces generally average racing.Still love the track the shape but i have to say the last few years racing wise has been very poor. A ORLOV
An expected win with a bit more fire than previous weeks, great scores from Jason, Josh and Nick and Justin seems to have got the bike gremlins sorted out. What is strange is that now Rohan had a mare of a meeting. We have to try to get a point at either BV or Lakeside to see if we can be in the play offs. Ovalman
Hard to believe Lions were just 6 points behind halfway, their loss of doyley replaced by hougaard cost em this year. Their only away win coming at swindon, when Tunny scored 1, plus the other 3 home losses, may cost the robins. I can see them getting something at bv hopefully.

For me the racing hasn't been the same since they introduced the slimmer tyre profile, razed some of the banking and fell out of love with actually putting dirt down. So that rather shows my age, don't it!

The bikes have been constantly upgraded over the years, they are A second A Lap quicker than they were pre 2000, and the tracks have stayed the same, but with less dirt on them.... The tracks were built to handle 2 valve bikes, with plenty of dirt on them, the bikes are so far ahead of the tracks, that's the issue...

Too true on all that you said, the only stadium that is really suited to this new breed of super bikes is the new one at Belle Vue. The bikes are just to fast and to unpredictable to do anything around the really tight narrow stadium we still have over here.
