Panthers V Rye House Followed By Panthers V Workington 4/9/2016 @2.30pm

Premier League football has taken over the comedy mantle as they loan out players who can't play against them but can shaft their rivals.

But that is how it should be in Speedway too. This season, Rohan and Cam should not have been allowed to ride against Ipswich as they are on loan from that club.....

Id say if there was any doubt about Sundays call off this puts it to bed.

In an ideal world maybe but riders have to take whatever work is available and the list of available riders of sufficient standard for clubs to choose from isn't often great at any given moment. As Panthers found out with Andersen and Batchelor with Swindon in 2012: if you choose not to use riders that you think you have a claim on then tough, don't expect any favours from those riders in opposition.

Premier League football has ample resources and funds not to be dim enough to follow the speedway model, although they would think twice about loaning out players who could play against them. Something speedway has got right one might say!

Fair comment Crump99. I can see both sides of the proposition. What football clubs do these days has so little relevance to the real world that I must say that I take little notice these days. The good old days when Ipswich Town under the great Bobby Robson almost won the treble in 1981 with about only 12 players are well and truly consigned to the big bin of history

get lasse as a guest for cookie and big bjerre at no2 so he can smash the track record

Well that'd clear a space on the forum because there's no way that'd be on the front page, although it would be a PL track record so the EL one would still stand ;)

Why??

If, and it is a big IF, the speculation was that meetings were called off as riders were not available and no facility to replace them was allowed, then rearranging on a date when a facility is allowed for an absentee is just adding to the conspiracy theorists not putting it to bed!!
