Cliffeboy
This was always going to be a tough call even with Rohan. TBH it's the first time Jake and BWD haven't managed to come up with the goods on first sight at a track all season. I have never been to Brough Pk but from what I have read it is not the easiest track to ride first time anyway, so as I said tough gig for those two. On the plus side it seems Jake was on the pace and deserved more than his two points and BWD got amongst some points. Over the two matches if aggregate counted Newcastle are in front. Not sure if the Diamonds would get within four points at our place again no disrespect intended just a feeling. One thing for sure if we meet in the play offs it will be two cracking matches.

SomersetBlue
Probably not. it's difficult enough, I would think, keeping track of your own riders availability without having to do the others as well. Â More likely Somerset were offered this date and they accepted and since they had Workington and Berwick to rearrange as well the four clubs got together and came up this weekend as best for all concerned. Â So the question you should really be asking is " Did Somerset know Tungate would be missing when they accepted the rearranged booking?". Though, to be fair, if he's riding on Poland on a sunday there was always a chance that he would be missing whatever date was offered. I know that's why I put a wink beside it. Still if we do meet in the final it would be two great meetings.
RebelDan
Thought the Rebels would struggle in this fixture which proved to be the case. Â Newcastle have been the best visiting team at the OTA this season in my opinion, so a two legged meeting is likely to be very close should the teams meet. Â Good to see Lambert bounce back from his disappointment Saturday night.

Might do better as Mr Worrall would no doubt get more than the 4 from his R/R rides although to be fair I wouldn't expect Paul Starke to only get 2+2 next time round either. Got no doubt the 2 teams will meet again (once or twice) and we will see then. Think both sets of supporters have every right to feel confident about their teams chances. MK could be the big key as he seems to be hitting form at the right time which has seen his scores improve both home and away - if this form continues I think any team will be hard pushed to match Newastle over 2 legs. ruffdiamond
You're saying that Tungate is "pants" around Brough, but I think he has stepped up BIG TIME this year, and think he would have gone well, shame he wasn't there 2 of the 3 riders I was really looking forward to seeing weren't even there and as previously stated, yes it's annoying when there isn't 7 man teams, but that doesn't take away from the fact that it was a great meeting I get what you say about Tungate, but r/r netted 9pts for the rebels and, a dunno if he would've scored that many and am sure we'll see how well he rides Brough next time the Rebels are in town,,, '9 from 4', ad have a little wager on that 'not' happening Hi Dandelion  I mention the Hopwood situation because if he had been ruled out it would have meant Somerset running with just one reserve and possibly having to complete at least one heat with only one rider which coulda been crucial if the scores were closer. I don't know if I am correct re the Hopwood situation but our stand in team manager could have considered this and decided to allow Somerset the facility as Hopwood was unlikely to affect the outcome of the match result. but it made a difference to DP's pay packet
StevePark
I get what you say about Tungate, but r/r netted 9pts for the rebels    One of those was Josh G's Tac ride, though, so only 6 really.
ruffdiamond
One of those was Josh G's Tac ride, though, so only 6 really. a no that, but surely if he was that good he would've won that race aswell  and a no that, if he had of been riding, he wouldn't have been in it, unless it was r/r for some-one else,,, still pants at Brough IMO Edited September 5, 2016 by ruffdiamond

They look a pretty solid team to me especially as Lindgren, if my memory serves me correctly, has come good recently.
