Kings Lynn V Lakeside 1st Sept 2016

Recommended Posts

Well, unless Swindon lose at home to Leicester again, Lakeside must get something out of this in order to have a chance of getting into the playoffs.

A win would be fantastic, but a point might be enough to keep our hopes alive. With KL being somewhat inconsistent, we might be in with a chance

Up the Hammers!

Good point. Morley is listed as riding for Rye House at Sheffield on Thursday, but Kennett is not. I hope we can get a good guest reserve.

I should have looked at lakeside's site. Dan Halsey in at reserve and Danny King guesting for the unavailable Kim Nilsson. Danny scored 10 last time he was there and Kim scored 3, so it might be close!

Richard Lawson Lakeside Hammers_Credit Anticlockwise PhotographyLakeside are in last-chance saloon as they head to Kings Lynn for their final away meeting of the season on Thursday (7.30).

The Vortex Hammers are desperate to keep their Elite League play-off hopes alive with a positive result at the Adrian Flux Arena.

A win for fourth placed Swindon at home to Leicester could end their chances if they fail to leave Norfolk with any points.

Team coach Kelvin Tatum knows his side need to step things up and he says they are targeting a victory which would give their top four hopes a huge boost.

We need to come away with a result, said Tatum. Weve been given a bit of an opportunity with Swindon not picking up any points at Wolverhampton on Monday, and we need to take advantage.

Were getting close to the last throw of the dice, and Kings Lynn werent particularly impressive on Monday either so well be hoping to make the most of that.

We must get something, but a win would be terrific and with the home meeting on Friday plus the

showdown with Swindon in a couple of weeks it would give us a good chance.

If we dont get anything tomorrow night then we possibly dont deserve to make the play-offs, but its in our own hands and its down to us to perform.

The Hammers draft in British Champion Danny King to guest for Kim Nilsson, who is riding in Sweden, at No.3.

They also include Dan Halsey at reserve in place of the injured Robert Mear with Ben Morley already committed to a meeting for Premier League club Rye House.

Kings Lynn include James Sarjeant as a guest for Simon Lambert at reserve, whilst Danish ace Nicklas Porsing makes his return after replacing Rory Schlein.

KINGS LYNN:

Niels-Kristian Iversen, Nicklas Porsing, Robert Lambert, Kai Huckenbeck, Troy Batchelor, James Sarjeant, Carl Wilkinson.

LAKESIDE:

Andreas Jonsson, Edward Kennett, Danny King, Lewis Bridger, Richard Lawson, Dan Halsey, Lewis Kerr.

Hoping for a Stars win. Could be our last chance with only Poole left to come at home and I doubt we'll get much out of that.

Lakeside never seem to do that well at the AFA, likewise Stars down London way, but too many potential weak links in the Stars team, so small win for the Stars...I hope! :-) Some good racing would make a pleasant change as well...

There's a decent crowd, especially after the poor displays of late. Lakeside are desperate for the points, so will put up a fight. Our team is as normal with the inclusion of Porsing instead of Rory.. The track looks grippy. First race on a sunny night goes to a fast starting Huckenbeck, AJ second and Niels trying all he knew for third. Even the reserves in heat 2 get the better of the opponents to get a 4-2., in the next Batchelor misses the gate but come through for a surprise win. We have a 6 points lead and we are only on heat 4. This is getting exciting, we have had over taking in each heat so far. Porsing opens with a stormer. for us to go into a 10 point lead. .....

BRRRRRAAAA.........Brrrrraaaa....... that blasted alarm always go off when I'm having a good dream .........
