ouch
With their big home advantage Poole will win this one. I don't envisage a track requiring throttle control like last time and I think the regular gate and go type fare which is the norm down there will see them trump The ®aces. mdmc82
Great guesting from Kaspazak who got a paid Max. Much better than Hans would have scored
Coventry_Bee
How much longer is Bjarne at reserve?
Gavan
i fancy Poole by 10 especially as they will be stronger with KK in for the 'injured' Hans.  Holder should outscore Zagar Ellis is good at home so should outscore Steve Worrall KK is better than any of Nicholls Cook and Fricke. I would expect Kurtz to do better than Fricke Buck has been poor so his score may prove pivotal.  Newman and Bjarne should outscore their direct opposition.  Obviously all the above wont happen but the majority will which would see a Poole win  OOPS I said Poole by 10 but it was 11. Most of what I predicted came true but to be fair most of it was obvious Last time against Belle Vue Kurtz and Ellis got 8 from reserve and Pedersen and Newman got 9 from the main body.  Steve Worrall got 12 from reserve last time and Richie 3 from the main team. Jacobs got 1.  I would expect the Poole reserves tonight Pedersen and Newman to get 13 or 14 between them minimum and the Belle Vue reserves maybe 8.  I would also expect Ellis and Kurtz to get more than 9 between them as well.  Add in last time Hans and Joonas got 15 and this time its a stronger pair in Buck and KK, then i would expect Poole by at least 10.  As i said earlier this is speedway it doesnt pan out the way it should, but the riding order tonight is more beneficial to Poole then it was last time. (i.e Newman not at heat leader and Holder not waste at 4) Again to easy to predict The Worrall brothers got 15 last time, switch roles and they get 9 Poole reserves beat their counterparts 18-5 Buck and KK got 19 between them  Blatantly obvious to anyone that Poole are still hot favourites for the league. Only a troll would disagree  Ellis and Kurtz still a concern though.
stevebrum
Surprised it was such an easy win. It's like no one wants to carry any real good form into the play offs with such up and down results for all teams in contention. Wolves seem to be the only team with momentum right now. Coventry_Bee
It changes from week to week who is favourite, too close to call and I just hope the final is won by the top guys doing the business rather than a reserve top scoring. waiheke1
Surprised it was such an easy win. It's like no one wants to carry any real good form into the play offs with such up and down results for all teams in contention. Wolves seem to be the only team with momentum right now. Tbf, Poole had kk who is clearly one of the top riders in the league (did someone seriously try to argue Lindgren was as good?!?).He scored probably 5 more than Hans would have done so that's a 10 point swing. Obviously without that we wouldn't have the 3 extra points for cook, but that drops the gap to 4. And I would happily take a 4 point deficit at poole in the play offs. Â Also disagree with Gavan saying Ellis must be a concern. An EDR riding 2nd string is doing their job if they can score 3 or 4. The real concern for poole must be that Hans will be fit again for the play offs ;-)
Steve Shovlar
How much longer is Bjarne at reserve?Until the end of the season I gather. Well that was a one sided affair. For the first few heats I thought Belle Vue were going to put up a serious frght but it didn't materialise. Poole had all bases covered in a great meeting with lots of passing and exciting racing.  The track was nicely prepared but on the slicker side. Certainly a couple of the Poole riders, Ellis and Kurtz struggled more than usual but Holder, KK, Bjarne and Newman enjoyed it until the final few heats when it turned more gate and go.  A big crowd, perfect weather for speedway and top notch racing. What more could you want?  For Poole Holder was excellent. Ran a last in heat 15 when there was nothing to race for. Ellis didn't have a great night. Think conditions were not to his style. Buckowski was an improvement on recent for and had the race of the night. Kurtz struggled. Replaced in his last race. KK was sublime. No one could get near him. Went past Zagar like he was standing still. Untouchable. Newman battled hard for all his points. Bjarne showed some speed tonight and did very well  For Belle Vue Zagar was average. S Worrall rode well tonight. Fricke was rubbish. Got a win in heat 14 when the track was spent. Nearly messed that up as well. Nicholls was their best rider and fought for every point. Cook had one blinding ride when on a t/r in heat 11. R Worrall had one win in heat 2 then went awol. Jacobs was not at the races.  Of course Poole were strengthened a little by having KK in for Hans, but had Hans ridden we would still have won this imo.  Over two legs I feel Poole could have the beating of Belle Vue. However we are not likely to meet them unless its the final. And getting past Wolves with that trick track is far more daunting a prospect. foreverblue
As i said before KK has never let Poole down and was faultless, shame that he can't guest for us again. Hans is not KK and would not have scored as well so on that basis we are not favourites. Unfortunately Kurtz is proving me right and should have stayed PL for another year and we should have kept Kacper. Fricke was obviously feeling guilty about his abysmal performance at Leicester!
SCB
How much longer is Bjarne at reserve? As of tonight, Bjarne is 3rd in Pooles rolling averages while Kurtz is 6th. So Kurtz drops to reserve, Buzz drops to second string and Bjarne goes to heat leader. Â But before they get new averages Poole have to go to Wolves on Monday, are at home to Wolves on Wednesday and at BV the following week. Averages after that meeting will determine who of Bjarne, Buzz, Ellis and Kurtz will be heat leader or reserve, they're all so close that frankly they could end up in any order after the next 3 meetings. Newman is pretty certain to stay in reserve while Holder and Hans will be heat leaders. The new averages then come into effect on the 19th September. SteveLyric2
With the new averages now available = effective 5th September, Pedersen stays at reserve for the next 2 weeks (on the same average as Kurtz - 6.24) but if tonight is anything to go by, then Kurtz could well drop to reserve for the play-offs. That could be good news for his confidence and more in line with his ability.I feel we would be better overall with Kurtz at reserve and Ellis as second string bcause i think Bjarne can cope with heat leader better, good performance tonight.
