NJC71
A replacement for Phillips is vital. If we could find a competitive number 7 I would rather use R/R. The worst combination is an inadequate replacement for Lewis with Phillips. That would cripple us.
leander
isnt he still in the pussycat 1-7 until after tonights meeting? Too late for him to find a spot elsewhere. He is now frozen out of the rest of 2016 PL. True he is still in pussycats 1-7 but they have redeclared without him which will take effect from 30 Aug (72 hours from declaration) From then he is free. Anyone we sign (and we would have to declare it before midnight last night to beat the deadline of 31 August) would not now take effect until 31 August so could include Ashley Morris, as an injury replacement, if we wished to go down that route. If Lewis recovers from his injury before the end of the season, he could return, I believe, as from 1st September the only team changes allowed are those which are riders returning from injury. I just realized, people are saying riders to be announced soon, that could suggest 2 riders  Matej Kus and Lewis Rose out for Tero Aarnio and Anton Rosen maybe? It works average wise, and I clearly have too much time on my hands with it being a bank holiday Would hate to see Kus go but if it means good things for the team, it could happen He's been one of my favorites this year   I realize this, but surely SOMETHING can be done to allow teams to field 7 riders every meeting if they want, even in football, the most ridiculous sport ever, they have that signing a goalkeeper outside the transfer window or something? Maybe in speedway it could be signing a back up outside the cut off date? I think Tero is still out with his knee. Up until 2 weeks ago (the last Finnish report in speedway star) his Finland team were still using Rider replacement for him.

At least if it were to happen in this case it would be to ensure a young Brit was able to gain a team place after being shafted by his previous team for the inadequacies of others.

But he won't be when our team change takes effect. With your interpretation it's like saying you can't go looking for a new job because you are still employed in your current one, when in fact you can sign a contract to start a new job next Monday even tho you are still under contract to your current employer until Friday.
Tsunami
i still dont see how sitting in the car park (not driving) can add up hours ? Â also how come we replace worrall with a 6 point rider in josh bates ?? surely there must be someone with a similar average to worrall available ? Certainly does look like the gamble didn't came off, despite Bates recent good scoring run. But who to replace I couldn't spot anyone. but you cant submit a team including a rider still in another teams 1-7 and Morris was (still is at this moment) in the Pboro 1-7. But anyhow, as you say, the milk is cheese now.
leander
Someone said that Ryan Fisher was originally penciled in but was out injured. Would rider replacement have been any better. Not really.

I agree with Leander.and more importantly the BSPA MC agree... I am actually pleased for Ashley.(done a good job as a Witch) Hard done by to be dropped.  Has often found himself with that 'awkward' average and missed out.  Good luck to both parties. If the Witches miss out on the play offs as expected I'll be backing the Diamonds.
