lucifer sam
HENDERSON INSURANCE Scunthorpe Scorpions host Newcastle Diamonds next Monday (3pm) in Premier League action – in a Bank Holiday feast of action at the Eddie Wright Raceway. With the 23-heat Midland Development League Riders’ Championship individual event being held in the second half, there are 38 heats on offer in total. The adult admission price for this bonanza of action is just £17. Scorpions are looking to build on an excellent 54-30 home victory over Workington, as they look to close in further on the teams directly above them at the bottom of the Premier League table. Scunthorpe promoter Rob Godfrey said: “It’s bound to be a cracking afternoon of speedway action. “We had an excellent win over Workington, and we plan to build on that. We’re out to finish our season on a flourish, and part of that involves going unbeaten at home for our remaining meetings. “Newcastle will come here looking for points to consolidate their challenge for a place in the play-offs, and I predict another humdinger of a meeting.” Edited August 24, 2016 by lucifer sam

leander
Will worrall ( 12noon start at BV), lambert & rose (6-30 start at wolves) be there?? Double header at Wolves with Kings Lynn on second (according to Speedway Star) so more likely an 8:30 start at the earliest. Tho I have to admit it is unlikely they will be at Scunthorpe. A 2:00 start would have been better, especially since K.L. might have wanted to use Wilko as well.

leander
says 6-30 on bspa site ( woves v KL) then 8pm wolves v swindon?? That's fair enough. Last weeks Star has it the other way round tho. KL should be on first as it is the original fixture, but I wasn't sure if it had been swopped for SKY. Stranger things have happened. I'll be surprised if the Swindon fixture starts anywhere near 8:00pm by the time Sky have all their add breaks and associated waffle. Even when they hurry through, supposedly, because of dodgy weather it still seems to take best part of two hours.

Parsy72
I fear matches like this missing our top 2 and arguably the best reserve in the league will come back to haunt us :-(
TheScotsman
Statistically Bradley Wilson-Dean is the best reserve in the league!!
Tsunami
Statistically Bradley Wilson-Dean is the best reserve in the league!! I would take Lewis in a Raceoff anytime against Bradley.
TheScotsman
Depends where the raceoff is. But based on averages alone BWD is the top dog. And then there's Sam Simota / Wilko the Woffy and Smiler slayer / and even Adam Roynon, all with higher averages than Rose.

Not from 1/9 they are not, if I am reading the averages correctly: Rose - 5.89 Wilson Dean - 5.83 Roynon: 4.88 Wilko: 5.56 And with the exception of BWD, the others have been in the sport a lot longer!! TheScotsman
Ah but that's in the future!! And probably by October Dan the Wee 12 Year Old Man will be the bestest reserve in the whole wide world!!

diamond@heart
Ah but that's in the future!! And probably by October Dan the Wee 12 Year Old Man will be the bestest reserve in the whole wide world!! Unlikely, he would have to jump from 3.55 to 5.90 (+2.35). I'd be impressed if he did and he would deserve the title of best reserve in the league, but I will go with Tsunami's view of L Rose and if he's not the best, he's certainly in the top 1.
