Rye House 2017

Recommended Posts

Peterborough seem to have destroyed him. He was brilliant for Rye when I saw him last year but has completely lost it this year.

NBJ average has stayed around the same its his overall possible promise of better things to come thats now in doubt wth the will he wont he factor

This thread is what you call going early :D

Your right he doesn't seem to be the same rider this season , at the start of season I was expecting him to kick on and eventually become our NO1 . The odd occasion he can turn it on but generally you just don't know what to expect from him ,we know he's talented and capable of doing a lot better , not sure about your comment about Peterborough have destroyed him and what they could do to getting him going , bit of a mystery that one.

I'd have Robbo back as an experienced second string and head in the pits. Not a heat leader though.

Branford is a must, especially if his average stays sub-four. Of course though as a Redcar asset we'll probably be held to ransom.

I'd only retain Morley if there's a two Brit reserve rule, on an average of almost 4.5 he's too much of a gamble for me.

Kasper has had plenty of chances, he's reached his level. He might be entertaining but he's inconsistent and there are entertaining riders out there who will be more consistent.

The rest can go too.

Happily take NBJ back on that average.

Good luck with your move Shads when are you moving to Bonnie Scotland end of the season?

moving tp Berwick means shads is still in england ,just . Berwick is in glorious England . crazy innit ? looks like a lot of northern tours for the shads4eva family . try and hang onto the English accent .

Good luck with the move Shads,,Hope you realise how cold it is up there in the winter, especially if your on the post early mornings,, (not sure if that is the case ))) ?you may have one of those cushy indoor jobs,,,

I can see Chris Harris taking a d/u job if his average fits - or Scott Nicholls

Interesting to see if Adam Ellis could be tempted back to the PL

Surely he's done with NL racing next year.

Have you checked your map recently? Only you seem to have mistaken the country that Berwick is situated in.

Still at war with Russia too, if I remember rightly ;)

Didn't help when in the days of the Scotland v England NL matches the Scots were in the red and blue helmets at Shielfield...

A case of the town being in one country and the county in another.

The Russian war is finished, they eventually gave in and signed up, Dave from Greggs Putin a shift for a few years to keep them running scared 😂

Not sure how this would work out but in no particular order I would like to see.

Robert Lambert

NBJ

MPT

Adam Ellis

Robert Branford

Nico Covatti

Emil Grondal

If the promotion are serious about Rye they have to do something next season, I've read on earlier posts that the new owners built this seasons team on a budget, well it hasn't worked, people are starting to dwindle away again after the initial optomisme became a reality that we were not going to be any bether than the past few seasons. Business is all about risk, people are not going to pay to watch a team lose every week.

Delighted to hear it. Now good luck with the Edinburgh and Newcastle peace treaties ;)

  • 2 weeks later...

If his average drops below 6 in the EL, it is currently 6.26, although the way he's going it probably will

Obviously we don't know the rules or final averages yet but if it's the same rules I'd go with

1. Edward Kennett 9.43

2. Cameron Heeps 5.59/Kasper Lykke 5.24 (Dunno who would be more popular)

3. Jack Holder 6.92

4. Stuart Robson 7.07

5. Nikolaj Busk Jakobsen 6.98

6. Rob Branford 3.40

7. Luke Priest/Danyon Hume 3.00

Total: 42.39/42.04

This is of course using the averages as they are now and they could change but looks good to me :t:

Danyon Hume? He is an Ipswich asset and unless they are riding EL only next season, I can't see them loaning him back to Rye House, Dandelion.

I could see the same 1 to 7 as is riding now all being invited back. That is for a Rye House PL side and not for a Lakeside EL side of course ----- Rumour Rumour, lol

I just thought of upcoming riders who have experience around Rye House :P There isn't many upcoming youngsters, nevermind ones who ride Rye well, you never know :)

Certainly cant see Rob being on that average by the end of the season, although his guest rides not counting for his average will help.

Be interesting to know his average for all Rye meetings ridden, maybe some stats guru can help out.

Will depend on the reserves rule for next season but would like to think him and Ben have done enough to earn a re call.
