hyderd
None. Came down to just two heats, 2 and 7 in the first half of the meeting. Better team in second half but damage done. Bv better team first half while poole getting used to track. Poole threw away quite a few places due to no track knowledge. Fair play to them. Heats 8 through to 15 were all shared heats, so how you were the better team in the second half confuses me.

Come on Steve your team scoring 0 in eleven heats was why you lost the meeting.Six of them in the last 8 heats. Gavan
Not an unexpected results and Poole still firm favourites for the title. Only lost by 8 today and you would have to think they would turn that round easily at home. Away from home Ellis and Kurtz struggle to score more than 6 and Buck is totally out of sorts. The reserves aren't as potent as earlier in the season. But it goes to show that even when struggling Poole keep things close. Nothing changes still Pooles league to lose

mikebv
How many did the Aces get through the turnsyles😂 I'd say about 2800 today... The turnsyles were clicking well but maybe more clicks may have been expected? Not much (if any at all?) advertising locally and to be honest "all expense spared" it appeared when it came to presentation... Still, lots of Smiths/Morrissey songs played to keep me happy... (Or miserable)...😉 As for Max guesting tonight for Poole? Surely 'that joke isn't funny anymore?"😠 Hope he scores nil, stays safe, Leicester win and their turnsyles spin merrily around with lots of use.... Phil The Ace
A cash turnsyle? There is only 1 starman and he don't leave poole so we don't need one
bruno
Well I enjoyed that , a cracking meeting compared to the nl meetings this year at monmore. My first. El meeting this year and the difference on this viewing is massive. Was a bit shocked at it being £20 but you get what you pay for I suppose. Thought maybe Poole deserved a point. Plenty of passing even when the track went a bit slick because of the early start

KIRKYLANE
Super match re entertaining racing ..... full effort on both sides producing the best league match of the season at the NSS. Big crowd as expected with it being Bank Holiday and good weather.

Aces51
Poole certainly weren't poor even though they didn't do as well as, King's Lynn, Leicester, Wolves or Swindon but they did keep the scores as close as Coventry. Seriously though, they put up a good show and kept the scores even from heat 8 onwards. Newman, Ellis and Andersen were their best riders in the first half of the meeting but faded and Holder and Kurtz were their stars in the second half. Pedersen even managed to pass Jacobs for a win, from memory that's the first time I've seen him pass anybody. For the Aces, Zagar, Fricke, Cook and Jacobs all rode well. The Worrall's and Nicholls need to get back to their best if we are going to win the league. It was a brilliant meeting with lots of close racing and passing in front of a big crowd. Hopefully, all the casual and new people there will want to return. I can sympathise if Holder has toothache and doesn't feel her can ride at Leicester but Jacobs rode on Wednesday with a tooth abscess which is even more painful. LisaColette
Would have been very nice had he said you can pay at the turnsyles but.. Must be a northern thing.. But you didn't know did you. trying to make yourself look dafter than you already are... You pay at the ticket office. Just think of it like going to watch AFCB. Poor from the Pirates, Heatleaders far to erratic, cant see Ford/Middlo not making team changes.Well only 2 days left to do it!!

Starman2006
You pay at the ticket office. Just think of it like going to watch AFCB. Good it would be nice if somebody actually said that, instead of running round the houses. Even Phil the Ace couldnt tell you, and he was on line at the time, so what chance you have anybody else giving you a straight answer. And i dont watch bmth. Shame you weren't there... Believe they had opened up a 'special turnsyle for special people' just for your good self... Nevermind eh, perhaps in the final...

I know but I don't know what they do at Pompey, as in the low leagues sometimes you can pay at turnstiles so was giving a football example! Joe Beevers
I can sympathise if Holder has toothache and doesn't feel her can ride at Leicester but Jacobs rode on Wednesday with a tooth abscess which is even more painful. Have to agree. A tooth abcess and real tooth pain is probably the most lengthy and worst pain I have ever had. At least a broken bone is pain for a short while and it can't affect you as mentally as tooth pain. Well done to Belle Vue but with Poole only losing by 8 and with a B match to follow they may still be in this title race yet although I think looking at the form of the 3 sides, the Midlanders are going to be very difficult with two Grand Prix stars. Sounded like a good meeting.
