Joe Beevers
Tbh, I don't have a clue about the first three posts in the topic but regardless I think this match could decide the winners or at least the potential finallists for the Elite League. If Poole ride well and beat Belle Vue than it will open it up again into a three waybattle for the league. If Belle Vue win convincingly as expected, I have to put my money on Wolves v Belle Vue final unless the Poole promotions make a very ruthless change like TBA for Buckzowski or someone because it would appear they are lacking serious firepower away from home. Will be a very interesting watch for the neutral.

Get a designer to knock up a Hugh Noon like film poster featuring a gun totting Zagar and Holder, and plaster 'em all over town. Ya here me boy? Sounds good. The original High Noon had the greatest movie theme song ever. They could get a Tex Ritter sound alike and synchronise it with David Gordon singing modified lyrics :- "Ford spent 5years inside the state prison, It's gonna be my team or his'n, I'm not afraid to lose but oh, What will I do if he's cheating?" Throw in Grace Kelly lookalikes as start line girls, and Speedwáy is back in the map (maybe). P.S. The original starred Gary Cooper the greatest actor ever. I'm not entirely sure that posters portraying dudes brandishing weapons would be too well received in some areas of Manchester. I think the city elders would have some kind of regulation to prohibit such an occurrence. Obviously, if you can get Hugh Noon on them it might help win over the mums and dads. Just my opinion, obviously.

Or alternatively do nothing other than a 3 paragraph preview in the corner of the fourth page from the back of the Manchester Evening News..!!! (Just below the 'personal ads')..... That'll bring 'em in..... Everybody now... Ahhh 1, Ahhh 2, Ahhh 1,2,3,4.... "Do not foresake me oh my Darlin'"...... Aces51
That's the best page in the MEN, everybody reads the personal ads. Bank holiday usually gets a big crowd anyway and with Aces fans being able to smell blood now that Poole are in decline I think we shall have a decent turnout. Let's hope some Pirate's fans get get up early enough to get here. They're not used to being up at 6am when the factory sirens wake us up in time to get our clogs and flat caps on ready for a 12 hour shift up at Mill.

Does that leave you enough time to feed the pigeons and take the whippet for a walk.
