King's Lynn V The Wolves 25/08/16

Thank you Rohan. Can I respectfully request you leave that engine at home next monday :P

COYW.

On the contrary, on that one he'd be gating at Monmore and taking the third bend on the East Park cycle speedway track.

Edit: In passing, a bonus point in each of five rides tonight for Lindgren. I'm sure there are other examples of a No.1 recording that performance away, but it strikes me as rare. Anyone come up with any?

How we won at Belle Vue is beyond me on tonight's performance . Too many passengers tonight 6 points from 3 riders just isn't good enough from this years team only Iversen Lambert and Rose would I keep for 2017 none of the rest are good enough if we have an ounce of ambition .

It was more than a few weeks ago

Two observations:-

1) Meeting yet again won by a guest (credibility issues for the sport continue)

2) Schlein, Batchelor and Huckenbeck produce 6 points from 10 rides - something for the home team to contemplate

I'm pretty sure Sam Ermolenko would have done it back in the day, but that's quite some time ago now of course!

Seems he may have finished in front of Masters in heat 13 rather than behind him, BSPA sure has him down as 9+4 and Masters as 4+1. My bad!

Lynn were a four man team tonight and as a unit gated appallingly. Thought the racing was poor and the atmosphere flat despite a decent crowd. The whole club is lacking a spark at the moment.

You just must not lose at home ...... it was hard to watch, the track rode very fast tonight so I guess passing was almost impossible

Following our recent pattern of home form, our performance last night was abysmal. Fair play to Wolves, they came to win and rode much better then we have done of late. From the supporters viewpoint, I found it all abit disappointing. Going to Belle Vue and winning like they did, I expected far more then what was shown last night. Having the biggest crowd of the year, to watch Woffy, the place was like a morgue, with no atmosphere at all. Most of the fans just wanted to have something to cheer about but got very little chance from the boring processional races.

Our track must be the best 'GATE and GO' one in the country. There were races, when riders missed the gate tried to come from the back, but got no help at all. Even Woffy, World Champion like he is, couldn't come from the back to beat a fast starting Wilkinson, such was the state of the track. These two riders are as far apart as possible when we come to stature and quality, yet although Wilkinson provided the one reason for the fans to cheer, it illustrated how difficult it was once you've missed the gate. Racers, like Niels and Lambert were making no impressions at all, therefore generating little excitement.

When we beat Wolves earlier in the year, I didn't rate them as high as other teams. But the inclusion of Woffy and Tungate made them into League winners. Take them away last night and the rest wasn't that good. Everybody accepts we are a 4 man team. Batch, Rory and Huckenbeck area waste of space, yes, some have had bad accidents, but why should they be convalescent at our expense. . Surely if the promoter had any inclination of making them Playoffs he would have changed it long ago...

Treading water would be nice, We're sinking without a trace....

yet again 0% ambition from the club changes should have been made months ago .

Another home meeting, another meek defeat.

A bumper crowd too.

Shame the racing was poor, like it has been for most of the season. Lynn is now becoming a gater's paradise.

Next season cannot come soon enough.

Whilst I may be despondent, like so many other Stars fans are no doubt, I still found it repugnant to see a grown man giving Rory abuse after the meeting when he was doing some laps, I'm talking real aggressive w-anchor gestures and abuse. This was in front of what I assume was his young child. Sure Rory is struggling, and should probably be dropped, but come on, that behaviour is unacceptable.
