King's Lynn V The Wolves 25/08/16

Recommended Posts

Ok, I'll rephrase.

A little knock has given him an excuse to not race at King's Lynn.

Like you say, he's 46. Why should he put himself in danger at a track he knows is a problem to him.

Not criticising, I don't blame him for swerving his jinx track

I'm of the same impression. The fact he has been replace by an inform Tungate questioned the situation. Had he been replaced by and out of salt rider, his excuse would be more feasible. The fact that Tungate inclusion has made them significantly stronger, its obviously it will be questioned.

This this just another spin off of the problems generated, when it was decided to run protected heats putting the CMA all too cock...... This replacement would never had happened in the old style rules... Be interesting to see how many points Tungate scores.... cause PK never scores that many here....

Whatever - Tungate is in good form atm so an excellent replacement .......

....hopefully Star's morale still good after last night's surprising result at BVue so hopefully they can deal with it :t:

On paper yes he is in good form so a good replacement.

I'd prefer PK racing tho but obviously his foot injury prevents him from doing that.

Still, it could be worse we could have a number one who decides to miss meetings when it suits him!

Hopefully the stars will be brought back to earth tonight with a wolves win. Please!

Hopefully Iversen can up his game from the last meeting he rode at home, he should be unbeatable on his own track, with improved form of the rest of the team at Belle Vue and with Lambert back the Stars should win.

No number 1's are unbeatable even on their own tracks. The only one really that improved their form last night was Huckenbeck.Maybe Lambert got a little more than expected last night

Iversen has been sloppy of late & that hasn't just been for the Stars & he's well aware of that himself but no rider is unbeatable round their home track, even in top form.

There was no real improved form from the team at Belle Vue either, Belle Vue were just bad.

Schlein & Batchelor scored 8 between them, the reserves the same.

Only Huckenbeck's 8 was very unexpected.

Fortunately we had a top guest in Lindgren and an on song Lambert scoring 25

Over the season our main scoring power at home has been from 4 riders, Iversen, R.Lambert, Rose & the now injured S.Lambert.

The rest, very very disappointing

This all seems rather ungrateful after what Freddie did for you yesterday.................................................................................. :o

I thought you couldn't have guests for an injured second string with RR the only option. Now that Sheffield is off, will Howarth move on to Lynn?

Howarth is back in the side replacing Robson.

Also recalled is Wilkinson, replacing Nielsen

No not at all, really appreciated Freddie's contribution. But that not a reason to allow Wolves to win tonight. We would have to ask 'what's the point of it all'
