Recommended Posts

see i fancied Poole to win by 10.....................must remember that when i use my alter ego of Chris4gillian i must remember what i posted when logging on as Gavan lol

Well, at least you've got something in common ~ you're both rubbish at predicting results.

Edited to add well done Swindon.

What a great result for Swindon. Big underdogs beforehand showing what team spirit can do. Poole with the exception of Holder were awful. 1 good ride from Ellis. Newman awful. Pedersen poor. Kurtz average. Hans ok. Buck poor. Can't believe I'm reading that some people think Buck was unlucky to be excluded lol. Doesn't matter what bend on what lap if you go out wide, are not touched, and fall, then you are the cause of the stoppage. Bend 1 Lap 1 it's the same if it was Bend 3 Lap 2.

You got that wrong Holder wasn't that good either!

Well ridden Robins. Consistently better over the first 180 metres. After that most heats were processional. On this form, whilst both teams are likely to be semi finalists, neither will be able to beat Wolves or Belle Vue over two legs.

Just got back and have to say we deserved nothing out of that. Beaten consistently out of the gate on a track where passing was difficult at best with many heats spaced well out.

I said before the meeting that Swindon fans were putting their team down and they could win this and so it proved.

Gate 4 a massive advantage the first half of the meeting and we win the toss and chose 1 and 3, meaning we had four heats on the bounce mid meeting with the useless 1 and 3.

Couldn't live with Swindons gating and were then just chasing shadows. A very poor performance but it happens so time to put it behind us and move on to Wednesday and the visit of Leicester.

Can't see us topping the table now, i said before the season started Brady will cost us and won't stand up when needed and unfortunately tonight showed i could have a point. I was really pleased with the signing of Buckowski as he is an exciting rider but wasn't too exciting tonight!!

He has been poor in Poland the last month. Kurtz had one good ride but just got outgated and was chasing shadows. The track was extremely slick and Holder and Newman were trying every line and getting nowhere. The Swindon riders once in front sat on the fastest line and that was that for most of the time.

Lets see how we get on next Monday at the favourites before writing our chances off. If we get smashed well we can't win it every year, can we?

I think Buzz could be dropped!! Jack Holder is there because Matt wants him to be on par with Brady when they start next year. All be it that reserves will not be the same next year can only see Chris, Brady and Adam back. I understand Hans is 2 year deal. Sorry but magic is coming back we need him and Matt will tell J.Holder drop your average now Plymouth are not going anywhere. I think we need a Swedish league system and can see next year being a better Poole team. This was the filler year without a big gun who regularly scores 10 aka Magic and Darcy. Holder is a 8 9 point man. The blue riband is back to do some scouting. Can see Dudek coming in though. Maybe Msgic and Dudek and Kacper the three poles leading the charge next year!

Buz was just the same when he rode for Leicester, one good meeting 2 bad ones, he was consistant if nothing else, at least he has gotten out of the habit of hitting the fence every meeting and ending up in a big heap.

The days are riders overtaking are few and far between these days, the bikes are to fast, we see a rider roar of to the front for the win, he dose not give to hoots about his team mate who is fighting for his life behind him in third place where a good bit of comon sense could have given the team a 5/1 if he had riden for his mate, instead of being greedy to get all the points and glory, not to say the money involed.

We shouldn't be talking about changes or anything. The team this year is the team this year and we should stick with it through to the end of the season. If it ends in the semis then so be it.

The season is not over because of one defeat at Swindon when the robins were desperate for the win to keep their playoff hopes alive.

If we have to go to Wolves for the playoffs we can beat them over two legs even though they have strengthened up.

Keep the faith.

Totally agree, Swindon is a gate & go track

Congratulations to Romance on four faultless programmed rides.

I hope this puts to bed any doubt about your ability to compete at EL level. The move from Foxhall and a strong Australian season where you were so unfortunate to miss out on the rostrum let alone the Title has obviously been beneficial.

Thanks for the chat after the meeting too. Much appreciated. Keep it going buddy.

Yet people still think Poole are favs. Not with this side they arent.

Wolves and BV final at this stage imo.

Would be good for Poole to bring in a good GP star for one of Holder or Andersen.

This team is being let down by the lack of dominance from these pair, they should be cleaning up against teams like Swindon, except for Doyle.

Pedersen could be weak once out of reserve but on his average who would replace him.

Would it be possible to bomb out Holder, Andersen and Pedersen and replace with Dudek, Magic and Bjerre?

Bjerre maybe a bottler but on a 5 something average could find himself as a reserve.

If Poole are serious they need to do something as this team aint good enough, Swindon are essentially a PL Side with a GP star included. Say what you like, its true.
