Coventry V Lakeside/lakeside V Coventry 19th & 20th August

What was the point of this message given that the meeting has been called off by 12.00 noon today ?

I know we are in the hands of the weather but why issue an optimistic / positive message just before it is called off ......

Anyways ....

A fair question...

Perhaps Neil Watson can respond and let us know what has changed since he posted the optimistic message saying the track had been prepped for rain and would go ahead this evening?

Not having a go, or criticising, just interested in the timeline to being called off.....

Thanks in advance Neil..

3 1/2 hours is hardly 'just before', but as you say, our good intentions have been beaten by the weather.

Hi Neil - sorry it sounds like I am having a go at you here - that is genuinely not the case and probably just my disappointment that the match has been called off ! It's just that your original message seemed so positive only then to be completely reversed ....

At least we can hopefully re-schedule when we have KK back in the team .....

Unlucky for the Hammers, they would have been looking for 4 points against a KK less side. Pressure now on Lakeside to get an away win after the Robins took 4 big ones last night.

They wouldn't have got 4 points anyway. Wet track = not suited to Lakeside so would have been a Bees win.

AJ, bomber or Kk?

Bomber has said he will be travelling to the GP. Suppose all the arrangements are already booked. KK is the wild card.

Only have about 3 weeks to fit it all in and doesn't help that the stadium is unavailable for a week for the Stock Car world final weekend.

If Chris Harris isn`t there then it`s 3 who won`t be- because AJ and KK definitely won`t be.

Going to be hard with our top 2 in Harris & Kaspazak missing. Then there could be no AJ either and no Lawson for Lakeside

Surprised they did it for then and not the bank holiday Monday

Someone did mention that stadium not available for the whole week before the stock car final on the 3rd September.

They say Speedway is expensive !!!!!!

General Admission – £34

OAP/Student – £28
