horneymikh
Belle vue speedway absolute joke, no chance that meeting was going to be on but still let folk in and not give a refund at the end! Chris Brown
Are the promotion taking responsibility this time or blaming someone elsE ? Maybe the contractors, the fans, Colin Meredith ? You cab be sure it will not be their fault And still the sport contributes to its own decline I was planning my first EL meeting since 2007 tonight but at least Coventry had the decency to call it off this morning
hagonshocker
Morton and Pairman fortunate enough to have a lovely spanking new stadium perfect shape of a track and they still cock it up...useless , you couldn't make it up
Shale Searcher
A blade should be nowhere near a track at that time... (Unless you've had a downpour after 6.30pm) Should have been on the track as soon as the rain stopped...
dump that clutch
shoddy & Inept decisions all round here, why oh why do British speedway do their best to totally pi$$ supporters off... If reports are true BV took an age to blade the track when they did, they should be fined. they should have started on the track ASAP... it's not rocket science is it, bloody amateurs..

Perhaps they thought the vintage? Bikes would clear a line or two.... Wtf has Colin Meredith got to do with the price of fish? Whatever Belle Vue do it will never be as bad as that clown who ran oxford into the ground, waggy? Who's the trackman now? If it not CM...? Bald Bloke
I saw a vid on Facebook at 7.40pm of one of the vintage races. The track was wet but no standing water and the old chaps on their Japs etc rode on it.Then when they had finnihsed, they decided to blade it at about 7.50 pm. What a cock up

Don't bring Poole into this mess. Feel desperately sorry for the travelling fans. A hell of a way to go. To answer another current thread, yes Belle Vue DO NEED TRACK COVERS. It would have saved this meeting. Edited August 19, 2016 by Steve Shovlar
Shale Searcher
Judging by the chapmanesque fiasco it must be Chapman but that's just a guess. Who was driving the blade? Surely it would have been Chapman in that case??
orion
Maybe its the contractors fault lol

Bradders
Here is a photo of the track taken at 7:00 and then at 8.00 Embarrassing for us Aces fans and yet a new one in a line of cock up's by this joke promotion! https://www.instagram.com/p/BJTTP-9h1ImmyVz572BB9u8qPb6VyM7pXi4wlk0/
Rob B
Perhaps they thought the vintage? Bikes would clear a line or two.... Who's the trackman now? If it not CM...? Colin Meredith has retired, his son does it now. Was obvious when I arrived at 6.45 it was far too soft from the 8 hours of rain, should have bladed it at 4.30, would have given a couple of hours to attempt to sort it or call it off before turnstiles opened. Yes the vintage bikes looked OK on it but no offence to them they are only tootling around, modern speedway bikes would have had no chance. mikec
Double header on Bank Holiday Monday?Unsure of availability of the Robins side at relatively short notice + how they'd charge fans who've already bought Poole tickets for the extra match. Could be an option though. Wondering why considering the rain stopped in Manchester around 5, that remedial work couldn't have started before 7,50pm? Feel for travelling Robins fans. Being a local I only lost 3 quid car park fee & 15 miles of diesel - suspect they're out of pocket slightly more.

I can't see how these riders would have raced on this track whatever....

stevehone
you can't blame all of this on the promotion, the riders are notorious for telling the trackman what to do
