A ORLOV
Tungate now rides if on Good news as probably better than r/r
foreverblue
Nothing to worry about. It's going to be far from slick. Tungate won't score the points he did last time He seems he rode well at Kings Lynn last night on a grippy track and he is in form.
foreverblue
Good spot! It was that grippy that times were nearly 3 seconds slower than the track record, lol! I think the track record is very long standing and maybe the track is slightly different these days because you would have thought NKI would have broken it by now. Jason Doyle was the quickest according to speedway updates but even he wasn't that quick going by previous times this season but maybe he didn't have to be!! Steve0
As Edinburgh vs Somerset is off - does that mean Rohan can take his place in the team? (I remember a similar situation for Sam Masters and that it was Wolves choice to go without him and that they could have included him rather than have him as a spectator). Edit - just saw on the Swindon website that he does indeed ride for Swindon tonight (assuming its not rained off) Edited August 19, 2016 by Steve0
Shale Searcher
Rain should be stopping in around an hour.... So (16:30) Manchester time.....!
hagonshocker
With the superior drainage system in place this meeting probably stands a good chance if the sun shines and the wind blows, decent looking Swindon side with a more in form Howarth guesting at reserve and the gating Hobbit now available Nothing to worry about. It's going to be far from slick.Tungate won't score the points he did last time R/R would had got about 15 less!
mikec
After around 8 hours of rain today, it's now dry with sun peeping through & blue sky appearing. Expecting similar conditions to the Leicester home match where Hougaard excelled for Leicester in a narrow home win. Expecting another close one tonight, a similar return from Paddy would be very handy. Edited August 19, 2016 by mikec
Phil The Ace
Oh my days. Hope no one from Swindon travelled. If you did I feel for you. Shambles. Blading the track at 8pm is not the best idea. Why not at half 4 when it stopped raining. We really don't help ourselves at times
Steve Shovlar
Is it off? Edit. Just seen the photo on updates. What a mess they have made. Why didn't they start this at 4.30 when it stopped raining? Seen this exact scenario a few years ago at Lynn. After watching the blade go round for 90 minutes it was announced that the meeting was off. Are the track staff at Belle Vue capable of turning this around? Doubt it, absolute joke working on the track at this time, no chance it will be on...

MrMungo
Is Chapman the new track man at Belle Vue? Buster could have got that raceable! Seen him to do it numerous times before
A ORLOV
I can imagine there might be a few choice comments from Jason. Hell of a long way to go for this result.
Bald Bloke
So whose fault will it be this time? They let the vintage races go out on the track as it was. Then decided to blade it about 7.50pm ish..Why not blade it at 6.30?.Seems mad
Steve Shovlar
So whose fault will it be this time?Clearly the Belle Vue promotion. They had three choices. Two were correct, one was wrong. Call off early? Correct call. Keep it on but start work on the track at 4.30? Correct call. Start blading the track at 8 pm? Bad bad call and desperation. Meeting postponed. Edited August 19, 2016 by Steve Shovlar
Red Robin
I can imagine there might be a few choice comments from Jason. Hell of a long way to go for this result. I feel mad for Jason and all the team, what a late time to decide to blade the track and keep people stood waiting inside , SHOCKING!!!!
