george.m
Edinburgh must be regretting the two suspect call offs in June against Plymouth, where Palovaara was to guest in a full strength Devils team that still included Kurtz and against Glasgow where Doolan was to guest in place of Bach, I think. #didnaefancyit #microclimate #damagewasalreadydonetothetrackbutdrytoday #trackstaffwhoworkwonderswereallonholiday Now that we have Covergate, that Glasgow postponement becomes all the more suspicious. Blue skies that night at 7:30 and a tractor out grading the track. Yet they have covers. Are we really supposed to believe they had no volunteers that day? Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't recall there ever being a request from the club for volunteers to lay the covers. "Superior" covers. Yeah, like the wrong type of snow on the railway line.

george.m
Nothing will ever surpass what Glasgow did on Friday 4th June 2010!! For you and the other Embra BSF members who weren't members back then, you will have missed the total condemnation of that by Glasgow fans on here. So really you're pushing on an open door there.
Fenway Bleachers
Sun offs in the West Rain offs in the East..... Pity we can't cooperate. Maybe we should collect all that wet stuff and sell it. Our best natural resource necessary for fermenting and distilling. One day we might get the Glenkinchie Monarchs against the Amber Solaire Tigers In your dreams !!!!

snapper
I am guessing now that with all this bad weather and Edinburgh needing to get the matches on the said superior covers will be getting used every week from now on
Fromafar
Don't know what all the fuss is about covers, like I have said in another thread there are too many variables to sing the praises of covers. The main one being riders will not even take their bikes out of the van if it raining at the time the meeting is due to start.I don't waste my time if I think that will be the case.
Dekker
Can't believe the weather forecast for Friday is showing rain in the afternoon/evening AGAIN. They've had SEVEN wash-outs already this season. Find out who laid the orginal yellow track for Tim Stone, then use that. It could take hell of a rain and on a "balmy" Scottish friday shouldnt give the dust problem we all remember from Sunday afternoons.

It could take hell of a rain and on a "balmy" Scottish friday shouldnt give the dust problem we all remember from Sunday afternoons. Remember those days with the oatmeal looking shale. One time we were staying overnight on the Saturday, and I rang Tim at 11.00am and it was lashing down, and I was ready to hit the road home. Tim was confident and sure enough it started at 2.30pm with a decent track that nobody would have thought possible.
