TheScotsman
Can't believe the weather forecast for Friday is showing rain in the afternoon/evening AGAIN. They've had SEVEN wash-outs already this season.

crescent girl
Covers. I have to agree. Maybe won't solve the problem every time, but.... Berwick have used their covers twice in 2016 with 100% success rate. Both times the meeting referee reported to SCB that match could not have proceeded without the covers having been deployed. Bagpuss
Move away from Scotland?
speed ace
Move away from Scotland? That's not very nice, but it is well-known that East Lothian has a much drier climate.
damosuzuki
Half the time (eg this week) it's cracking weather all week and decides to piss down on a Friday.
Gazc
At least it saves a hose pipe ban. Every cloud has a silver lining though (did you see what i did there) it is to be dry & sunny on Sunday in Glasgow. baba
Wonder if you will have to race a sunday to complete your fixtures.
edmon
Double header planned for 2nd September - Plymouth and Redcar - listed in BSPA fixture list.
arnieg
Yep 8 it is. Going for the record. Mibbee to have it by now? Still only August as well. I think this is the one to beat: Crayford 1980 16 matches failed to go the distance 3 of these were abandoned after a few heats 4 were double headers with both meetings rained-off. So that's 9 meetings rained off, and a further three that failed to go the distance. And how about this for a balmy Summer; 10 June - meeting abandoned 17 June - Match off 24 June - Double Header off 1 July - Match off 8 July - Match off plus a further rain-off on 29/7 and an abandoned match 12/8 (second part of a double header) Crayford v Peterboro was abandoned on 10 June and rained-off on 24 June, 1 July, 8 July before taking place on 22 July. Crayford v Weymouth was never staged after being rained-off three times.
scotchopper
It is unbelievable and worst of all Wednesday and Thursday were absolutely beautiful they would have had to water the track on both days. This is a disaster for Edinburgh speedway
TheScotsman
Blooming heck arnie that's grim reading. But a postponed double header is just like playing the joker.
MD
Edinburgh must be regretting the two suspect call offs in June against Plymouth, where Palovaara was to guest in a full strength Devils team that still included Kurtz and against Glasgow where Doolan was to guest in place of Bach, I think. #didnaefancyit #microclimate #damagewasalreadydonetothetrackbutdrytoday #trackstaffwhoworkwonderswereallonholiday

tyretrax
With all the rain off's I can see the B.S.P.A. seeding Edinburgh to a one leg final at Armadale to defend their title.
Tapeworm
Why not ask the Facennas if you could lease sunny Ashfield on a couple of Friday nights when it's wet through in the east? I don't think the Tiggers use it on Friday nights.
