racers and royals
Why are Eurosport saying this is live when it is about 6 minutes behind the actual meetingWrong - it's live. They started before the scheduled time of 6.

Streams all over the place- of course i assumed it was just me having problems with a stream. Col
I hope no Swedish team sign Janowski next year, that was a pathetic showing. Congrats to Rospiggarna winning in style.

f-s-p
Pretty descent. It says in Swedish press that it was the 3rd highest ever in Elitserien. #1 was a final between Masarna and someone with 12k+ and 2nd was think the return leg of the same meeting with 9k+. So yes, pretty decent.
Ghostwalker
It says in Swedish press that it was the 3rd highest ever in Elitserien. #1 was a final between Masarna and someone with 12k+ and 2nd was think the return leg of the same meeting with 9k+. So yes, pretty decent. No that is incorrect. Smederna had two meetings at home in 2003 with higher attendance. 8353 vs the league meeting against Masarna and 88xx vs. Kaparna in the final. http://speedwayhistorik.svemo.se/2003/Report.asp?elit.FD It was before my time as a speedway fan but Smederna are supposed to have one meeting, at the old track, which were supposed to have been over 9000. The I remember the final as being 8800, 8848 I think, but Svemo figures "only" say 8626: http://speedwayhistorik.svemo.se/2003/Visa.asp?ElitF.CA VMS Elit (Vetlanda) had 8703 in their home leg of the 2005 final. http://speedwayhistorik.svemo.se/2005/Report.asp?ElitF.CD Dackarna - Västervik final leg 1 in 2007 had 8564, the second leg had 9358. http://speedwayhistorik.svemo.se/2007/Report.asp?ElitF.AJ http://speedwayhistorik.svemo.se/2007/Report.asp?ElitF.JA So that is at least 5 meetings the past 14 seasons + the ones you mentioned, so that'll make it "no better" then 8th on the list of the highest attendances. So third best attendance is just some reporter that is too lazy to check the facts before he/she posts the article. Ghostwalker
You calling me lazy for not checking, just quoting?? No, you said you had read in the press. So whoever wrote that article did not bother to check the facts which makes that article writer lazy. A very common illness in today's media. So unless you wrote that article, I did not call you lazy.

Though 6 months on your side of the Baltic would most certainly brush up my Swedish enough and give me the chance of writing a similar story, but with checked facts. I'm quite pedantic with stuff like that. Edited September 30, 2016 by f-s-p

Come on you two- can`t Sweden and Finland get on with each other, after all I have just read that Finland was part of Sweden for almost 700 years(around 1150 to 1809)

f-s-p
Come on you two- can`t Sweden and Finland get on with each other, after all I have just read that Finland was part of Sweden for almost 700 years(around 1150 to 1809) I'll just decline that call for any discussion of things before my time. = ) But I do say this, that after following speedway press for almost 15 years in Swedish, English, occasionally in German and creating some in Finnish, the Swede's (journo's) are the most eager to create a fuss. They have no intentions of holding back, every small thing is created to a huge piece of news. English press is much more polite and Germans are in between, closer to Sweden though. In Finland the "big"/national press just dont dont care. So just being envious here, I guess. Edited September 30, 2016 by f-s-p
