Aroundtheboards
It has been confirmed that Ryan Fisher has a broken metatarsal bone in his left foot which will rule him out of matches for the immediate future, a big blow for the Border Roofing Monarchs. The injury was sustained in heat 14 at Somerset. ( from Edib web site) no mater what the circumstances don't like to see any rider get injured I agree whole heartedly with your last sentence. I too agree that, although injuries are an unwelcome bi-product off the sport we love and it is always unfortunate, how ever light or severe an injury is, it is not something we would wish on any rider. I was just merely pointing out in this case Fisher was the benefactor or victim if you like of his own actions and could have easily caused injury to the new dad in our ranks, Paul. Thankfully it appears that, although an inconvenience, the injury is in the "light" category and Ryan Fisher will return to infuriate us once again !!! Brilliant photo of the man in question idh !!! Najjer
I wasn't there so I can't comment on Ryan's move on Paul but everyone seems to be dodging the fact that Paul attacked Ryan whilst down and injured and that is not acceptable behaviour And before the Weegies all dive on their keyboards re - Sam, I didn't condone his actions either and said so at the time...... You cannot defend the indefensible and that now includes Paul I wasn't there either - so what did Paul do when Ryan was down on the track? Gr8scot
Taken from updates site Quote:- "Fisher off in ambulance but not before Starke rushed over and attempted to assault him while Fisher was still lying under the air fence" I am well aware Ryan is no angel but I have heard from some supporters today who were there and have said that the "red mist" was all Pauls and the referee instantly turned on his exclusion light Get well soon Ryan
tyretrax
So did he assault him or attempt to assault him?
TheScotsman
Does it make a difference?
crescent girl
Home rider? No further action --- like Sam's assault on Bjerre. None of the local officials "will have seen anything" and any case reported to SCB by the referee will fall because of lack of witnesses. Away riders who act like this (Hall, Tungate) get one-month suspensions, however. Everybody sees those incidents!
Gr8scot
I don't necessarily want to see anyone banned. Speedway is a high adrenaline sport and these things will happen from time to time, I still don't condone it but two wrongs don't = one right

george.m
Why? Lets see. Would you rather be hit, or have someone nearly hit you. Awaits usual mature response.

TheScotsman
The intent is what matters. Ask Allan mcgregor.
scotchopper
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=4gshA-bYRE4 Heat 14 from last night Maybe not the best angle but am I right in saying that all the excitement is about the start of lap 2 rather than the actual collision at the start of lap 4? I don't really see the excitement here both incidents of 2 riders trying to get on the fastest line at the same time, don't see any red mist in that, fisher did lift slightly so went wider than he intended but there was still enough room for Paul. Too close to the camera to really see the cause of the crash but I guess as ryan was in the lead that is why starke got excluded. Completely out of order to square up to a rider lying castrate on the track even if provoked Worst than the result for Edinburgh was one of the top 3 picking up an injury, disaster

tyretrax
Lets see. Would you rather be hit, or have someone nearly hit you. Awaits usual mature response. Exactly, you beat me to it. Attempted murder on the other hand would probably involve some degree of assault.
scotchopper
Oh the irony. I would say that even if it was an Edinburgh rider and did say the same when Sam did it to bjerre last year. it was indefensible and it sounds like starke was the same last night
tyretrax
Lying castrate on the track, the crash was worse than I thought.
