Mr Blobby
A track we have done well at in recent years and had some cracking meetings. Even though we have riders that do well round the oak tree arena I can't see us getting anything from this one. Cliffeboy
No Wrighty again so r/r with a late decision on Josh. If no Josh hopefully Brady again.

Panthers89
Fair enough mate, just a question as didn't see got injured. If you can keep using Brady, not an awful guest.
drew2
This was in the match programme last Friday (with the full T&C's) but wasn't mentioned over the PA on the night. So i thought i might add it on here to raise awareness of the Season Ticket raffle which is running in connection with the upcoming Rebels Golf Day FORE! which helps to support the ongoing cost of the Air Fence/repairs and also other improvements to the OTA.  Buy a ticket for £5 and if you are the lucky person whose ticket is drawn out of the hat during the meeting against Plymouth on Friday August 26th then a 2017 Season Ticket to watch the Rebels could be yours.  Keep your eyes open for the tickets on sale on Wednesday evening and again on the 26th but make sure you buy one before the tapes rise for heat one against the Devils to be in with a chance of winning. He fell in heat 13 away to Sheffield last Thursday and didn't compete in heat 15 then either. Josh has been excellent this season so there is big boots to fill if he's still unfit. damosuzuki
Hoping for meeting abandoned due to foul language, fisticuffs etc, 0-0.Both teams then fined further 3 points for bringing the sport into disrepute. Â Â Â If neither Riss turns up,zilch for Monarchs - otherwise Monarchs take a point

TheScotsman
Looking at the latest averages on the speedwaygb site, it seems Mark has dropped down to a 3 straight away so presumably he'll be at reserve on Wednesday instead of Cleggy. Â And we are now officially the second weakest team in the league (after Berwick)!! Â So please all get lulled into a false sense of security!! Â And we are now officially the second weakest team in the league (after Berwick)!! Â So please all get lulled into a false sense of security!! Â Mark has the same issue as we had with Jye, as a foreign rider brought in on an assessed 5.00 average for team purposes his average is not allowed to drop below 5.00 meaning Clegg or Dan would need to go above 5 for him to do to reserve. It's an absolutely bonkers rule, I guess the idea is that foreigners cannot then get into the reserve positions. The opposite of that means that reserves don't get into the main body of the team and could potentially get inflated averages whereas as a month at 2 or 4 would keep their average down. Â Interesting that you say our team average is at 42.15 which is a little bit strange as we have had a positive season so far. Not as good as the least few years but we are stilling winning more matches than we are losing, unbeaten at home in the league and picking up good away points. Got some tough matches left though. Interesting that means we could replace Mark who is averaging about 2.5 with a rider of 5.85. I don't think they will do it as Mark has showed some good potential but a good signing would put the cat amongst the pigeons.
speed ace
Wouldn't underestimate Monarchs in this one! Monarchs should never be underestimated. Â Just depends which ones "turn up" at which meetings.
cyclone
It's been quickly corrected so he remains on a 5.00 Can anyone explain why Dan Bewley is still classified with an assessed MA (still displaying with an asterisk (*) ) on the latest Green Sheets, despite having completed more than 4H & 4A Offiicial matches that count? Â According to the Edinburgh website they reckon it should be 3.26 Â http://www.edinburghmonarchs.co/statistics Edited August 16, 2016 by cyclone
TheScotsman
Oh well - it hadn't been amended when I saw it and the rules change each day!! Â Why would it be about that, hasn't done Jake Allen & Bradley Wilson Dean any harm, as both have had spells in the main body & at reserve this season...........Not really about a 'Bonkers' rule as you put it, more to do with signing the right riders in the first place in my opinion.......Just saying!

you are actually making my point for me, if a rider's average puts them into the main body of the team then put them in.  Of course it is about signing the right riders, I can't imagine anyone signing a rider and hoping that their average will go down! As per always some get it right and some get it wrong for most new riders it will go down at first but might come good by the end of the season or the following season. Under these rules many riders will get discarded earlier than before and most will find it incredibly difficult to meet the visa requirements.
