BWitcher
there was a gb practice on the Monday No there wasn't. Belle Vue offered the track to GB riders at late notice for those who could make it. If you are going to try and debate something, at least educate yourself on the facts. As nothing had been arranged, Tai had already arranged something at his own expense. Net result, he was brilliant and helped us to win silver. Popular Post RPNY
Sorry, but how exactly is he an asset to this (speedway) country? One example, he wins a world championship, top scores for Britain in the SWC and plucks a girl out crowd to give her his Silver medal and therefore gets a full page spread in The Sun newspaper, which is read by 10s of millions of people. That whether you like it or not is an example of being a huge asset. Free advertisement of our sport to a huge amount of people. Riding in the British league, but coming middle of the field (at best) in any Speedway meetings of note, doing an interview on how you couldnt get the set up right and you need more big meeting experience does not get you in the national press. And unfortunately at present that is all our other 'top' GB riders do.. That is just one example of how he is good for Speedway in Britain. penchev
Yet again the buck seems to stop at the BSPA front door. Even if there was lip service comments made in the speedway star the other week that the BSPA would back him. Massive steps forward to claim a silver medal in the world cup then come back to britain to ride until end of the season, and now this, so so sad for our sport one step forward and a hundred back. Even the GB manager says you are wrong.

Woz01
We don't know what made Tai decide to quit yet. Tai's short tweet is unprofessional though, fans deserve to know why he's decide to do this and all his tweet/Facebook post has done is raise speculation. Pity you had to mention the rag that is the S*n (JFT96) but . . . Let's put it another way (as I originally quoted the o.p) - what benefit is Tai Woffinden to British Speedway? (an asset I assume is of benefit)

Fozzie4388
When Buster Chapman and Rob Godfrey took over, Everyone said how British Speedway was going to be on the up and be great for years come. Its been nothing but a shambles and they're making things 100s time worse then they was. British Speedway won't exist within the 10 years Edited August 15, 2016 by Fozzie4388
Popular Post chris4gillian
Having read and contributed on the 'Should Tai Ride for Team GB' thread and having read this thread so far, I have come to the conclusion that this forum only really has a handful of real UK speedway fans who take the time to consider what their posting and the reason they are posting it. The rest seem to just use this forum to moan, whinge, attack other forum members and crucify UK speedway. Tai has tweeted something and all those which fall into the second category above are off and running, whilst the very few in the first category are keeping things on planet earth. There is nothing official (that I'm aware of) that has been released, just a tweet from an obviously unhappy Tai Woffinden. Let's be grown up and wait and see what happens in the next 24-48hrs before we all act like children and use the tweet as yet another excuse to berate Britain's best by an absolute country mile. I for one will be doing that, however I'm sure that those as described above will carry on like children in a candy shop now you have a nugget of ammo. So very, very sad. British Speedway won't exist within the 10 years get rid of them all and go with a non bias governing body.. not promoters of tracks themselves.. they are ruining this sport and Tai is the first to throw in the towel.. just a shame more of the riders need them because is british speedway goes they dont have a job..
bellevueace
Tai only does what suits Tai Let no-one think his move back to Monmore Green is for anyone but himself One selfish git He says hes not being mugged off anymore but hes mugging off the EL just using it as and when it suits. Too many are happy to just lie down and let Tai walk all over them.
