Glasgow V Ipswich Pl Sunday 14 August 2016 3pm

Hopefully a shorter break at ht10 with nigh on 20 minutes of tractor grading today which lost the momentum of the meeting.

Lost count after they done the 15th Lap the big lad in the green tractor has to get booted off by the ref most weeks seems reluctant to leave the track for some reason but your right it was rather extreme to say the least.

I can

Surly we are better off getting stuffed every meeting

I can see where you're coming from Baldy, but we're 4 points behind Sheffield in the real table with Redcar and Newcastle to come away. I'm allowing for the fact that Workington never win away. Only snag with my hope of us scraping in is, Sheffield's best hope of a point is their last meeting at Rye House, and last time we wanted that lot to do us a favour they let us down big time.

Hopefully it won't be a case of day-jar-voo (as they say in Essex).

I love what the promotion have done and unlike some I enjoy the kids race and the jungle thingy BUT today's grading after heat 10 was a bit much. However great result from the tigers.

10 points from 3 matches brilliant. The next big question can we beat the Rebels next week.

We were solid again and take another bow Nike Lunna heat 14 was just an amazing ride to reel Risager in and make the outside swoop on the final bend his away performances are now replicating his home ones the boy is a real racer but is far more composed now in his timing on when to make the move.

Very close today.

With two heats remaining, my derriere was resembling CSI Cyclone's after a Snapper litigation threat.

Cometh the hour, cometh the men.

Richie and Nike did the business ... and did Nike come up with the goods, or did he come up with the goods?

Ipswich were in the hunt until that point and credit to them for being so.

With the exception of Scunthorpe and Edinburgh (KOC) we've been fortunate to enjoy close meetings this season.

Perhaps the kiddies race and the regrading should not both be held between the same two heats? It just makes this interval too long unless the hidden agenda is to sell more food and drink.

And what exactly is the purpose of the big green tractor going round and round and round and round and round and round without actually scraping or spreading any dirt? Would a big heavy roller not do the same job in a fraction of the time?

And, while Nike's final bend pass was awesome, Richie Worrall was robbed of the MotM award today (15 from 6 compared to 9 from 7).

the match was so nip and tuck , I forgot to vote for man of the match as did a few people sitting beside me and we all thought Richie Worrall should have got the trophy

Louis saying in his report that some of the lads didn't prepare themselves very well for this meeting.

I noticed that too, with CL quoted as saying:

"Every point is so vital so it is very disappointing to come away with nothing," said Louis. "I thought it was a good effort at Workington but then some of the lads didn't prepare themselves very well for today and they let themselves down and the team down. Had we have been better prepared, I think we had a good chance of picking up points especially as Rene Bach was missing for them and Danny Ayres was not 100% fit."

"Glasgow were not at their best, we were given an opportunity that we didn't take, that is how I see today. I was disappointed in the fashion that we didn't take it too."

But picks out young Dan for praise:

A positive of the weekend for Louis was the performance of Danyon Hume who made his first visit to both tracks and looked on the pace in both meetings. "Danyon's work ethic and attitude impressed me, he was never off the pace at either track this weekend. The difference between National League and Premier League is probably a little bit of belief at the start line which is understandable and normal but he was mixing it on the first turn and first lap when he was close enough and he never got left behind which was nice considering he'd never seen the tracks before so it was impressive."

I guess that the ones that didn't prepare properly will be the first out if the Witches are in the PL next season?

It doesn't say what type of prep. Bike, mental or physical.

So from that I can only guess we threw away the chance of an away win which was easier than we thought.

Maybe they went out after workington and celebrated Danny's birthday a bit to hard???

Probably the best chance the Witches had on Sunday with Rene missing and our mini southern tour Friday & Saturday so from that perspective Louis is right.

I didn't see any sign of that on Sunday morning when they were at the tables opposite me eating breakfast in the Waverley.

Chris Louis was with them and he didn't say anything either.
