GWC
Rockets were fairly solid right through but unlike Glasgow no one stood out,,Great ride from Richard Lawson in heat 15 and good all night ,,,,and the reserves Lunna and Bewley were just sensational...There was some great racing on a track that is still crying out for more dirt to help the likes of Robson and Lykke and we need to do something to avoid these narrow defeats,,But no one could complain about the quality of the racing and its the new track shape thats providing it... I think we now know why there was a camber on the first and second bend - it maybe stopped gate 4 becoming a nailed on first place! And next season I hope the BSPA have the guts to penalise teams who have more than 2 riders competing in the Elite by upping their average otherwise this league will become a farce. Chris
Went last night after not being up to Rye for last couple of months. Bit shocked to see the state of the place , nothing has changed for the better and what if anything have they done there in the last 2 months . The junior track inside the main track , why cut the shape out then leave it to weed over , looks a right mess . Had hopes for some good things regarding changes at Rye this year but they are now fading very fast , has the money needed run out ? Also regarding the team , definite bottom 3 the way things are going and where most teams at least try to change things we just stick with what we've got , even Brandford's deserved inclusion was down to Karger injury . If they were serious about things wouldn't they at least try something to make this very weak team stronger . Also regarding last night's match , surely in heat 12 Brandford should have replaced Morley who up to that point had been very poor , think Sampford would have done this , Shroek seems to nice to be a manager with no ruthless streak that you need . Oh well rant over for at least a couple of weeks. Summed it up. Think the promotion have given up already. The riders certainly have & I have. Bottom of the league. Embarrassing. Shroek doesn't know what he's doing & is too nice. Go and read the bollocks on the Hertfordshire Mercury website he's come out with. "Proud of the boys", "Great to see Leigh coming back into form, if I demand something from him he'll give me it", "these results show we're a good side" etc.. Complete guff & shows no idea or ambition. Another awful season results wise & Kennett will be off. He was off last year due to crap results but told bmr he would give to it one more year. They certainly haven't kept their end of the bargain up what with crap side & giving up months ago on the season. What a shame this new promotion have come in and done absolutely nothing to improve the club after the tripe we had under Silver.
SharpenRake
You're far to pessimistic. Only question is are the Tigers gonna come away with 3 or 4 match points? Have to accept you were right and I was wrong, thankfully

Pogo1
Next time Sheffiels are up , ask Berge about his letter of resignation to Glasgow speedway , then after speaking to a former team mate and manager of another club he realised he would have to sit out for 28 days, what he then said and done was why he was left in the street, I deal in facts and that should put this to bed once and for all, there is no other side to the story. You would like to think it would Pogo but he is like a dog with a bone he keeps bringing it up every so often he only knows why, the other thing he seems to think it is funny regarding his derogatory remarks towards our owners which i am sure won't go un-noticed. As George has mentioned he went too far with comments regarding Snapper and then disappeared as soon as he was brought to task about it he clearly has a very deep dis-like for the management at our club that is blatantly obvious.

stewmac
Talking about Glasgow's promoters, it always disappoints me to see both Dick and Dickson still sometimes pictured together. Why? These two cheats descended to the lowest point imaginable when they instructed their team to lower their averages by deliberately losing back in (I think 2011) at Armadale. How anyone can trust them is still beyond belief. They brought the sport into disrepute. Big time. Edited August 14, 2016 by stewmac

PMSL deary deary me i take it you never saw GWC posting if you and your other cronies want to start a Glasgow bashing thread feel free the obsession is admirable. And you can't even get the year correct so why bother. If proof were needed as to who bear who in the Robbo Summers race, look at the video on the BSPA site. We were robbed. Another Referee cock up!! Just saw it and it did look to me as if Robbo just got it but we will take it, but you sound surprised that a referee could make the wrong call happens frequently. snapper
So have you asked Berge what happened and how a picture of his belongings lying on the street outside his lodgings appeared on Facebook? Or were you too busy brown nosing up to Jack & Victor Soprano? Oh wait Hello Cyclone remember me one of the former directors who was sacked by the club!!!!!!! I was just having a look at your post above and felt I had to come on here and correct you as once again you have got your facts wrong, now there is a surprise. I did see the photo that Dimitri posted of his kit waiting to be picked up by his mate but the picture was not taken out side his lodgings it was taken out side of the workshop he was using in Hawthorn Street if it had been taken out side his lodgings you would have seen a very nice Victorian sandstone villa in the G14 Kelvinside area of the West end of Glasgow. Which if you asked Phil Spencer he would tell you it is a very desirable area of Glasgow.

So that is now admitted unreservedly on here. As you deal in facts, can you confirm who compiled his resignation letter, and who was present when he signed it. Contrary to the suggestions on here I do not dislike the current owners of Glasgow, who I have commended for their redevelopment of the Stadium. However there are certain actions by them that I will criticize including the treatment of Berge and the infamous "letter" handed out at the end of the Play-Off final leg. See the usual acolytes are taking umbrage at the nicknames used - talk about hypocrisy when they regularly use similar terms towards the Edinburgh Management. Oh and btw, if you think you will bully me into silence, think again Victory & Barry FYI here as some previous statements on Berge to peruse:- Published: July 11, 2015 Glasgow Tigers are sorry to inform fans that reserve Dimitri Berge has today told the club he wishes to relinquish his team place and return home to France. The reason given by the rider was a loss of confidence. Adam Roynon will guest in place of the 19-year-old tomorrow in the match against Workington. A full statement will be released in due course. (anyone know what happened to the full statement?) Followed by the undernoted on the BSF:- Posted by DutchGrasstrack on 16 July 2015 - 02:52 PM in Premier League Speedway Berge statement: "I owe the truth to the Glasgow Tigers Fans. I did not loose my confidence and still have full faith in my ability to ride - this is not the reason that pushed me to leave the club. During the past few months I was under constant pressure from the management team and I was not in a trusting work relationship, that I believe is an essential part of my sport. I left the team because I could no longer put up with the "ambiance". I will not make any further comment in respect to the sponsors, fans and my mechanic Robert all of whom have always supported and respected me. I would like to thank the fans and the sponsors but also Alison, Laura, Lindsay, Jim, Ian, Jennifer, Georges and I am sure I am forgetting many others. I wish the best of luck to my team mates and to my friend Victor "à bientôt". Believe me they have crossed the Red Line but what is the point of airing our dirty laundry online ! I want the Glasgow Club to keep their honour because of my great respect for you my fans but not for them . Tigers Riders have as safe journey on your way to a long-awaited victory !" Gazc
Rye house fans must be wondering why me but as you can see that Edinburgh fans will take over any thread to vent there ramblings. Only because they saw the name Glasgow after the name Rye House our apologies but you can see what we are up against. In the old days that would've been a dead heat It was close Shads very close but just shows on different opinions ithe way i saw it Robbo just got it but some may see it the other way that is how tight it was.
