screm
First half of this meeting largely uneventful with races won from the gate, second was better highlighted by a truly great HT13 with the superb Craig Cook passing both Berwick riders, you will watch a lot of speedway before you see a race better than that, sad then that one or two, and it was only one or two, decided to boo Cook as he took his well deserved lap of honour. As I say Cook was good, but the Peterborough match winner IMO was Ashley Morris whose scoring from reserve swung the meeting. No complaints from me about Berwick, last night they were beaten by a better team, as our scores suggest we are lacking an out and out No1 which hopefully will be looked at when putting next years team together. DSC67
Well that was depressingly predictable , on a track that provided very little opportunity for passing The Bandits where done in at the tapes in almost every ht , no matter how hard they tried or where they searched it seemed there was very little grip out there for them to use . Big cheers to Craig Cook for a fantastic ride in ht 13 , to make things worse the news that the SGP was cancelled made my mood even worse as I didn't have that to watch when I got home . Another tough match ahead of us next Saturday and another home defeat perhaps
screm
Has Stachyra had a single decent rude yet for Berwick? Yikes heaven poor hasn't he? Stachyra by his own admission has had no regular racing for the last couple or three seasons, then at the start of this season he picked up an injury so he is well behind everyone who has been racing regularly. He plans to finish the season with Berwick then race in the Argentinian Championships through our winter before returning next season, maybe to Berwick. havenagotahope
There aren't that many around and what there is are asking for ridiculous money Sure Eddie Kennett would like the oppertunity to ride a proper track as opposed to a diner plate, or even Cookie who claims to hate the place but holds the track record and very rarely has a bad meeting here. 👍🇬🇧
Bandit59
Glad Cookie came back to PL heat 13 will take some beating great race from Cookie pity he made the gate in his earlier races,Kev more like it last night.Don't peopie on here know you don't need an out and out no1 and that Berwick waited to sign the right replacement for Seb

Another tough match ahead of us next Saturday and another home defeat perhapsThe track has been like that for most of the season, and it takes a top class rider to perform a overtake after the first lap .Speedway is becoming a gate and go sport at a number of the non technical tracks these days.IMO.Everyone has their own opinion on entertainment value ,so as long as the crowd numbers are ok nothing will change.
scaramanga
14 Points from Craig Cook last night proves that point wrong there was also 2 other riders in that team that scored well 1 was a reserve sometimes for me a good reserve is more important than the so called out and out no1
Panthers89
Agreed, if you can have a #1 that can score 8-9 points every meetings that's all well and good, but if you can have a reserve doing the same if not a bit more, then that does have more benefit. If you can have both, that helps even more!
