Berwick V Peterborough (13th August: 7pm)

Recommended Posts

thats like trying to find a Scotsman in berwick !

Walls were built to keep them out but there`s still a few leaked through.

Anyway back to the meeting and the weather for Saturday is looking very promising, especially for those who are visiting us from Peterborough.

Well even if the Edinburgh weather gives you a night off, you have two trips to Shielfield on Saturday, enough excitement for one weekend surely.

Rather have speedway pub bed, pub football pub speedway pub bed tbh

If anyone fancies saying hello either at the football or speedway, I'll be in the panthers jacket with a red and black puma hat.

Not many people will be supporting Berwick in the afternoon and Panthers in the evening!

This is another one of those meeting with a lot of questions going into it. Peterborough would seem to have the advantage in the heat leader department, as both Cook and Ostergaard fly around Berwick. Will either of those be beaten? in theory Berwick should have the advantage at the lower end. But Jakobsen had a good meeting at Berwick with Rye House last season.

Hopefully Liam Carr will continue his good form from last week. Dawid Stachyra looked a little bit better last week, as did Gappmaier, Wethers and Pijper.

I reckon this will be very tight. Berwick are all but out of the playoff race, but winning their remaining home games would be a decent end to the season and give the team a little bit of momentum for the second leg of the cup. Can't wait!

Peterborough have -- obviously -- a habit of pulling out surprising performances at Shielfield Park, as their undefeated-in-18-years run testifies.

But every streak must come to an end -- is tonight the night?

18 yrs ? How many years where the clubs in separate leagues ? That's a bit like saying Carlisle Unt haven't beaten Man Unt

I feel like I've seen a comment or two from it but he's made it extremely obvious that it's him now with his comment on ending the Panthers winning streak...again

Best ignored. ;)

Be surprised if Berwick don't win to be honest but if I'm wrong I'll be over the moon!

You must give Annan some sort of chance though, you might be about to see two away wins.

I think the Berwick reserves will see them through especially Liam Carr is in great form right now. Cook and Ostergaard are the big threats for Peterborough.

I think your reserves will have beating of all our riders apart from Ully and Cook tbh! I'm expecting around a 50-40 score line
