Steve Shovlar
Maybe i am way off here but Lambert to me is at a different level to Ellis at the moment.Lambert really is a proper rider at Swindon the other week i know he was hit and miss but his first ride he was so quick.Out of the English riders i would put Garrity /S Worrall behind Lambert then Ellis would be in a group with Bates,Auty,,Starke,R.Worrall,Wright. And that's why he has slipped under the radar to many fans. You need to re-assess. Ellis is way way better than Garrity and I can see a big breakthrough season for him next year. Certainly if I was Matt Ford I would have him signed in the 1-5 next year. He can gate and he can race. Had a brilliant battle with Lambert last night and beat him. Of course he is a bit raw but the Lynn fans around me last night thought he was excellent and very impressed. He is beating top riders all the time. Head and shoulders above the riders you have grouped him with. Be interesting to see how he goes at Swindon a week Monday.

SCB
Alternatively, employ good mechanics who do have the experience to make the correct changes during a meeting. If Lambert had the ability to get out the starts quickly he would be up there challenging the very top boys. Has he been picked up by a Polish club yet? Harris has had a couple of very good mechanics. But if the rider goes back into the pits and doesn't know why the bike isn't working what can the mechanic do? waiheke1
Would be interested to know what Ellis averages this season as a 2nd string compared to garrity.
Steve Shovlar
Would be interested to know what Ellis averages this season as a 2nd string compared to garrity. Garrity 5.17 Ellis 6.12 However Adam was at reserve for a while. Comparing them in style they are miles apart. Ellis looks like a professional speedway rider while Garrity comes across as the wild man. I do hope both do very well and make it to a great level. The more Brits doing well the better imo. SCB
Would be interested to know what Ellis averages this season as a 2nd string compared to garrity. 6.38 for Ellis vs 5.75 for Garrity. Garrity had a poor start though. His last 6 meetings he's averaging over 7. Frankly, I don't think theres a lot between them but Adam is two years younger. As always, it's great to be arguing over who is the better young, British rider. I'd have either (or both!) in my team. From what I've seen of him lately, Steve Worrall is way ahead of all the other original EDR riders now. He was a decent reserve at Swindon, but the way he seems to have come on lately is pretty sensational. It's great to see. Hopefully he can continue in the same vein. You need to be impartial when judging not being blinkered.Garrity at the moment is a step ahead and well we are on it AGAIN Bates beats Ellis at the Cradley Golden Hammer when it matters.😅

I like Bates a lot and if I need a single, one off top draw ride he'd be my man. But if I needed a whole meeting or a full season I'd pick Ellis. Where as Garrity probably sit just alongside Ellis over a meeting or a season but if I needed one of the 3 for a run-off, Garrity every time. He'd win it or crash trying, mind you, so would Bates but he'd more likely to crash trying than Garrity Once again, I just love that we're able to argue over who is best, all 3 are damn good riders. Trees
those who are moaning about Bjarne being at reserve should remember Poole are doing nothing wrong under the rules - wonder if we'd moan if Rory was at no6 ??We know they aren't, did anyone say they were? tellboy
Spoke to ref. No Huckenbreck, reserves only to take rides. Morely at 4. Lynn have two decent reserves tonight. You only really take notice of whats happening at Poole in the speedway world.Bet you have seen Jackobsen once on the telly. He flatters to deceive in my eyes, averaging around 4 in all meetings, and pretty much woeful at the NA with an average of below 2.So Lynn don't have 2 decent reserves only Poole have that in the whole of the League. For Lambert read Harris. He is so similar it is frightening. A crap gater and a racer, just like a young Harris. Exciting to watch, but if he doesn't improve his starts he will end up having a similar career. In comparison Ellis is a better gater. Be interesting to see who has the better career in the sport. With all the fuss about Lambert young Ellis's rise has somewhat passed under the radar. Don't think there's much between them to be honest. Lambert and Ellis are certainly the future for team GB Whilst i would like to see him improve his gating ability, the reasons highlighted above is why i spend my £17 a week to watch speedway. Trolling is posting to get a reaction, by saying Garrity isnt as good as Ellis is trolling. Yep when it comes to the crunch in these big individual meetings Bates has the measure of Ellis every time Edited August 12, 2016 by Gavan
