Kings Lynn V Poole Ela. 11/8/16

Recommended Posts

If Iversen isn't riding, then must be a must win, now BV won't pick Wolves anymore. We need to finish top (if still poss)

I doubt Belle Vue would have picked Wolves anyway. If we finish top would pick Lakeside or Swindon and hope to meet Wolves in the final as that would be more likely to bring a lot more away fans.

And have the better of us 3 out of 4 meetings .

They would be huge favourites over 2 legs as well.

Belle Vue will have to carry Jacobs, all Poole riders will at least score.

Still no update on Stars team for tonight. Promoters wonder why crowds are dwindiling. Had planned to go tonight but don't know if I can be bothered now after last nights performance.

I really don't care if I go or not tonight the seemingly don't care attitude from the club has certainly rubbed off on me that said I've a re admission ticket to use up .

Huckenbeck has had his license suspended until the 16th of this month so he wont be riding tonight, is there a reason for NKI not to be there tonight.

no big loss on Huckenbeck will be a massive loss if NKI isn't there tonight again 12 hours to start time and yet again no press release on line ups and they expect fans to be interested .

Kings Lynn Stars !! What a shambles. What was once a highly respectable Speedway Team has turned into a complete disaster. We are simply going through the motions to be whipped to all and sundry. Last night was a disgrace. Losing is one thing, but not bothering is totally unacceptable. Every Poole rider scored more than each member of our team. We won just 3 heats, and came last 13 times.. The team we put out was not acceptable, Some of the riders attitude was not acceptable, but probably there as pissed off, as much as the fans are, and cant be arse also. Whatever the problem, this club is going downhill fast.

The lack of announcement about tonight meeting is alarming. No doubt Niels is not riding, and a replacement is proving difficult. But whatever the circumstances the Fans/ Supporters should be kept in the picture. Not knowing any news is the worse scenario possible. Why should the fans bother when they are treated with such contempt

Personally I will be there tonight whatever. Not to see the Stars win, but just to feed my personal addiction. Poole have always been in the prime seat for success ever since they managed to secure the 2 top EDR riders from the crocked lists, coupled with 4 heat leaders and a brilliant young Aussie they were always been favourites in my book. Then to be able to strengthen with Pedersen has made the Elite league a laughing stock...

I am not jealous of Poole's success, I just wish that our promotions put as much emphasis on team building as Poole do. We would lost tonight with or without Niels. He has been a shinning light and an example to every rider. With him in the team we have hope, without him we have nothing........

They will be without No.1 Niels-Kristian Iversen, who has made himself unavailable due to his hectic schedule which includes Saturday’s Swedish Grand Prix in Malilla.

With no facility permitted for Iversen, the Stars are intending to draft in No.8 Kai Huckenbeck to cover his absence.

It is hoped the withdrawal of his start permission from the German federation, which caused him to miss Wednesday’s clash at Wimborne Road, will be resolved.

If Huckenbeck remains unable to ride, King’s Lynn will have no choice but to utilise a Premier League rider with an average below six points.

They also draft in Ben Morley for the second straight meeting to guest for the injured Simon Lambert, whilst Nikolaj Busk Jakobsen returns to the side at reserve.

KING’S LYNN: Troy Batchelor, Kai Huckenbeck, Rory Schlein, Ben Morley, Robert Lambert, Nikolaj Busk Jakobsen, Lewis Rose.

POOLE: Chris Holder, Adam Ellis, Krzysztof Buczkowski, Brady Kurtz, Hans Andersen, Bjarne Pedersen, Kyle Newman

The corresponding fixture is staged tomorrow night when the Stars will again be without their number one Niels-Kristian Iversen whilst the Pirates have declared a full-strength outfit.

Thursday teams (from)

King's Lynn: Troy Batchelor, Kai Huckenbeck (to be confirmed), Robert Lambert, Ben Morley (guest), Rory Schlein (capt), Nikolaj Busk-Jakobsen, Lewis Rose - Team manager Rob Lyon

Poole: Hans Andersen (capt), Krzysztof Buckowski, Adam Ellis, Chris Holder, Brady Kurtz, Kyle Newman, Bjarne Pedersen - Team manager Neil Middleditch

Not sure how correct it is but just taken this off Poole's website

Not so cynical now am I tellboy?

After years of reading press releases I've got used to the way they word things and the preview on the Lynn website was so loosely worded despite the tweet saying it was for both meetings that my misinformation radar twitched, well no it erupted actually.

What a shameful way to treat loyal supporters.

Oh and BTW early weather warning......its hissing down and has been or some time.

EDITED to add, just seen post #34 I doubt the news about NKI was delivered this morning or even yesterday. No doubt rose tinted glasses will be see in certain parts of mid Norfolk tho

Rain due to clear to leave a dry afternoon and evening.

I am coming up and hope I am not the only one there. Well I wont be ad I know of at least 15 other Poole fans making the arduous trip to Lynn.

This is now a complete banana skin for Poole. We should win this I admit, but stranger things have happened. All those Coventry fans who said exactly the same when they got thumped at Poole then battled to a victory are probably still cursing that they stayed away. In times like this Lynn fans need tomcome out and support their team.

Hoping for 4 points to secure our place in the playoffs.
