PHILIPRISING
LOVE watching and listening to Garrity, a breath of fresh air. But, sadly, cannot really see him progressing very far unless he makes some fundamental changes to his technique on a bike. Classic example of how, had he had proper tuition at an early stage, he would have been able to iron out the flaws before, as Ivan Mauger used to say, they became "bad habits."
Mimmo
I attend a large amount of British Youth Meetings around the country each season, and there are some excellent prospects currently involved. For those that have never been, at £5 admission (well £10 in Leicester's case), it's fantastic value for money, and the meetings do draw fairly large crowds, especially the one at Leicester, which ironically, probably provides the best racing too.. Trees
All the work Vatcher does most of us fans are completely oblivious to. That could only be the fault of the BSPA. Most of us believe GB doesn't have much of a future as everything seems to be a secret behind the scenes. That's no good thing as that also means potential fans and sponsors are unaware and then hinders progress. The only junior I'm currently aware of is Kyle Bickley, pretty sure he's not racing on his own though. The junior scene needs backing by more than one man & his wife. Have u not heard about the Thompson twins, Bewley, McGurk .... look on www.younglionsspeedway.co.uk ......
foreverblue
It has as you dont understand what irony means obviously. Trolling is posting to get a reaction, by saying Garrity isnt as good as Ellis is trolling. Yep when it comes to the crunch in these big individual meetings Bates has the measure of Ellis every time Bates has the measure of Garrity in my opinion and i think Ellis is close to both and improving. ouch
An NKIless Stars score 38, take out NKI in the match The Aces lost and they got 36. Just shows how precious it is to bag a fixture at Lynn when NKI is not riding. It was announced when he signed that he wouldn't be doing all their meetings and there was a bit of an auction to grab meeting where you gain a big advantage. The Aces weren't involved. If that's how you want to run the sport and how teams want to win then I'll leave it with you as I want no part of it. Disgraceful.
Steve0
This weeks speedway star EL averages , Ellis 7.34, Bates 4,84. Ellis has spent more time in the main body than reserve this year. His improvement has been amazing. Just imagine what he could do with some PJR engines under him !!!! And who would sign Ellis on that average next year - a number 1 or 2 heat leader ?!?! Edr averages will be converted to a formula, probably yet to be decided. Just goes to show how well he is doing compared to most edr's. Aces51
For my money Steve Worrall is the EDR that has made the most progress. A NL rider when it started and now an established EL second string and top PL rider.
E I Addio
For my money Steve Worrall is the EDR that has made the most progress. A NL rider when it started and now an established EL second string and top PL rider. Absolutely. The EDR did exactly what it is supposed to do with Steve, it picked up a rider with talent but down on his confidence and has made him a genuine EL second string. He is now too good for the EDR though, and shouldn't be in next years draft. I have been very impressed with his progress . I can't understand the amount of grief Neil Vatcher gets from some quarters. He and his wife put in an incredible amount of work in the UK and all over Europe to help young British riders. I've seen him dead on his feet at 1am in the pits, collecting all the race bibs off the boys before a long drive home to wash them before he leaves for his work the following morning. The guy deserves a medal. Neils only problem is that he doesn't come over too well when interviewed so the windbags of the BSF who never have anything positive to say latch on to that instead of the massive effort he puts in. I don't think their opinions are worth bothering about.
arnieg
Be interesting to know. Either a re-declaration or an illegal team. Probably an illegal team, same as at Poole the night before. Guest for Harris on Wednesday should have been within the rules as Iversen was riding for Esbjerg in Denmark (as was stated beforehand). BUT when I looked at Esbjerg result Protasiewicz rode (and got 19). So how was use of guest legal, (unless NKI is now subject to 28 day ban)? Sidney the robin
From what I've seen of him lately, Steve Worrall is way ahead of all the other original EDR riders now.Would not disagree he really has progressed, great that we can have a few Brits to talk about.!! He was a decent reserve at Swindon, but the way he seems to have come on lately is pretty sensational. It's great to see. Hopefully he can continue in the same vein.

The illegal bit is having r/r for Kai.
