Just finished a beautifully grilled pork steak washed down with a crisp glass of wine...

Now back off to the sunbed and the pool. I may need that waiter outfit you had a couple of weeks ago macca!!

(If I could bottle some of this to recharge your batteries I would macca - keep ya chin up fella)

Give your head a wobble and make some noise!!!

Up the Witches - enjoy the night....

Good dining Bruv of Bruv - beware dummy waiters, and Massif wishes SB. The place will not be the same without you two. Hurry ye back.

The Massif Unveiling is not too far away now......

I am getting too excited. I've even bolted my microwave fish pie and glass of water (right back at you Bruv of Bruv, lol).

No fanny dress tonight. This is seriarse stuff. Danyon must stay on for all his heats and must get his first PL Heat win tonight (paid will do Danyon). If not, I am going to ask a knitting zombie to eat my right arm (or knit me something hideous).

Big Ed's away. Flag to the ready. Lights camera action. Bubbles Bubbles Bubbles. Mega megaphone. CHECK.

Will Naughty Auty get the first blast....? Welcome back Lewi. Lucifer Sam we welcome you with a Massif Hug, Rob.

Ding a ling a ling.....

Another good result - hope you all had fun...

A number of 'on their own' falls -was it a bit tricky or just one of those nights?

Hope Douglas et al are OK....

See you all next week.

What a rubbish meeting I thought. Far to many jump starts and crashes. Hume looked determined, determined to crash in every race. Big sigh of relief when he completed 4 laps on a 5 nil.

So it's a national league rider for covatti at Workington. So finally our play off hopes will be squashed.

Yes it was rubbish baldy but it's 3 points in the bag and up into the play off positions and that's what matters. Anyway I think you'll find Workington are missing Jenson on Saturday with an NL rider stepping in as well, so it may well even things up. If we get stuffed over the weekend then fair enough, but I think it's worth pointing out that we've given ourselves a real fighting chance. If we miss out on the play offs by a couple of points, then lets leave the recriminations till the end of the season, but not while we still have a chance. Let's face it our seven riders know it's in their hands. Edited by T B

Thanks to the "Massif" for their hospitality on the back straight tonight.

Good news is that, despite all the falls, the Scunny lads seem to have escaped with a few bumps and bruises.

All the best

Rob

Our pleasure Rob. Hope you enjoyed yourself and had a safe journey home and good to hear that none of the falls seem to have led to anything serious.

Great interaction between us and The Presenter again last night - well done and thank you Kevin. Good to see the flags back up after being missing when Kevin was in Devon for the last home meeting.

Do you really think that Danyon was that untidy last night Baldy? The second fall was due to him dropping a chain. (Talking with him after the meeting, Danyon also said that he should not have been excluded from Heat 15 on Wednesday as, after passing Liam Carr, Carr knocked him off and said to Danyon that he coulodn't believe that he had been excluded from the re-run too.)

I am probably off to Birmingham on Wednesday next week if you fancy a trip to see some NL racing on probably the best prepared track in the country.

I was just saying it was rubbish cos of all the stoppages. The lads have done well to get into the position they have. Let's hope it's not all wasted cos we are missing a rider.

Yes macca I thought he was a bit all over the place, especially mid corner. Maybe it was cos the track was grippy?? He will improve vastly by the end of season though.

Antique Steve, we can hear you loud and clear now.

Fair enough buddy. It was, what, his third meeting at Foxhall and he has encountered different conditions every time. Steep learning curve for a rider who swung his leg over a speedway bike for the first time just over 12 months ago. He is like a sponge though and is soaking up all the data his brain is receiving from his time on track.

IF the Witches have a team in the PL next season, I would expect Danyon to be pushing on for a Heat leader spot by mid season. I see so much of a young Billy Sanders in him - massive natural raw talent that will learn every time he comes to tapes and if Danyon can end up as half a good a rider as Billy, he will have a tremendous speedway career in front of him. Exciting times for young British talent and a massif tip of the hat to Poultec and Olly Allen. The way Danyon laid his bike down to avoid the fallen Scunthorpe rider on turn 3 last night shows what great coaching, lightening reactions and speedway brain the boy has.already, imo.

Agreed the stoppages messed up the meeting last night particularly immediately after the first real interval at Foxhall that I can remember this season, prompted by the Ben Fund collection of course.

Your welcome Lucifer Sam (Rob) its always nice when visiting supporters come and say hello to our madcap bunch BSF Massif

Well back to the meeting and yes as others have said was a bit stop start stop start all night due to the falls and over eagerness at the taped by some . As Rob has said good news that there was no lasting damage to any of the faller's last night maybe just a bit of dented pride .

Racing well it was ok alot of gate and go last night but at the end of it history with show the Witches picked up 3 points in their slim outside chance of the play offs .

Hume for all his willingness needs maybe to calm things a bit . Yes we can all see he is keen to impress his new employers and its been a sharp rise in a short space of time for him but he needs to maybe just ease off a bit . There is enough older wiser heads in the pits these days for the Witches maybe some of them could take him to one side and give this clearly talented young rider a few words of advise . Have to say thou he did brilliantly in laying down his bike as quick as he did when Douglas went down in front of him .

Good to see the riders out in the crowd for the Ben Fund Collection and well done to the crowd on the collected sum of £1658.84 .

With each passing meeting its nice to see the riders coming round more after each race to show there thanks to the supporting crowd , and a nice moment from Ben Barker who stopped right in front of the BSF Massif last night to give us a salute thank you Ben your acknowledgement is very warmly received .

Crowd levels are looking good ok summer hols are probably helping this but there is a feel good factor within the crowd with the whistles and various other noise instruments making appearances throughout the crowd , it seems our own way of showing support to the Witches from the BSF Massif is rubbing off on a few more supporters each week .Still plenty of seats around the BSF Massif corner to be filled by anyone who wants to , Mr Long seems to have taken a liken to our little group but maybe he only comes over to visit us on the back straight for the promise of more pick 'n' mix from 2ndbendBeerhuts sweet tub .

Yes we are noisy and rather mad at times on the whole but we're having fun and i put this out to any fellow Witches supports out there bring your instruments make some noise let show this team we are behind them and carry on this feel good factor around the stadium .
