"It's Been a Hard Days Night"

Going to watch the rugby 7's from Rio in 10 minutes. Japan whacked the All Blacks. Beat that one for an upset. :t:

Dramatic last heat ! Well done Dackarna. Good meeting if a little overlong ;) Take care all. Alan.

Smederna will finish in last place, Dackarna or Masarna will take 4th place, likely Dackarna.

When teams finish level on points is it head to head or race point difference that decides ? edit looking at league table Dackarna and Masarna cannot finish level on points.

Current table

1 Rospiggarna p 13 pts 28

2 Piraterna p13 pts 23

3 Indianerna p 13 pts 19

4 Dackarna p 13 pts 17

5 Masarna p 13 pts 15

wk 14

Lejonen v Piraterna(35-55 from 1st match)

Masarna v Smederna(47-43 from 1st match)

Indianerna v Vetlanda(45-45 from 1st match)

Dackarna v Rospiggarna(44-46 from 1st match)

In theory they can. Masarna will win and take bonus against Smederna = +3p. If Dackarna only manages a tie against Rospiggarna, they will get +1p which will result in Dackarna

and Masarna both having 18p. Then points quota will decide. That is won points divided by lost points.

Thanks - i stupidly forgot about a drawn match. If that happens Masarna should thrash Smederna which would be good enough to overtake Dackarna on race points difference. Dackarna v Rospiggarna must be the TV match next Tuesday and summing up - Dackarna need to win !!!! Edited by racers and royals

Rain affected meeting which got better as the night progressed at Motala. Do wonder why Hancock who had had little speed all night was selected over Kildemand for heat 15. Kasprzak getting the nod for the Gorzow GP which I'm attending over the seemingly unstoppable force that is Dudek is baffling. I know it is Kasprzaks home track but aside from Sayfutdinov, Dudek is obviously the quickest rider outside the current GP riders.

What is wrong with Janowski?

Just watched Dackarna v Rospiggarna, TiVo box recording. What a fantastic performance from Peter Ljung, certainly the finest moment of his that I have witnessed. Wasn't really sure who to support as I don't particularly like or dislike any riders in the Dackarna or Masarna teams. Would it of been beneficial for Rospiggarna to eliminate Dackarna from the playoffs considering their dominance in the league and Dackarna are more likely to take points from Piraterna & Indianerna than them in the playoffs? No one can fault Rospiggarna efforts.

Holta was very hit & miss but his elbow on AJ in the deciding heat was as important as anything, surprised he was given the nod over Dudek if I'm honest for that, or was Dudek struggling mechanically? Still struggling to comprehend how the likes of Timo Lahti are preferred over Brits such as Cooke & King, for Swedish teams. He will probably be a league winner this year. Because despite this narrow loss from what I have seen (televised stuff) their are fewer weak points in the Rospiggarna then all the others. With Krzysztof Buczkowski at reserve, any weakness is completely nullified and they can bring Max Fricke back.

Was impressed by Thorssell. If Dackarna are going to do anything in the playoffs, Janowski needs to turn his form around pronto and they need to find someone at reserve alongside Pepsi to score points.
