BEES V SWINDON, PREVIEW

Sunday August 07, 2016

COVENTRY will be back at full strength as they welcome play-off chasing Swindon to Brandon on Monday (7.30).

The Buildbase Bees will be looking to make it two home wins in the space of four days and claim their first win over the Robins this season.

They will welcome star No.1 Krzysztof Kasprzak back into their side after he missed the 52-41 loss at Leicester on Saturday.

With Kasprzak back in the fold, the Brandon outfit will be keen to dent the Robins top four aspirations and claim three Elite League points.

Man of the moment Jason Garrity, who roared to a remarkable 16+1 points at Leicester on Saturday, believes the pressure is off as they look to end a

tough season with a flourish.

Said Garrity: We want to get another win at home on Monday, and even though we arent going to make the play-offs we want to end the season strongly.

We know what were capable of when were all on form and the pressure is off a little bit now, so well just enjoy it and hopefully that will pay off on the track.

Supporters who attended Fridays hard-fought win over Leicester at Brandon are entitled to £10 admission for Mondays meeting upon production of their ticket.

Kasprzak and Danny King will also be available for photos with their Speedway World Cup medals after the meeting.

Kasprzak played a crucial role as Poland won gold at the National Speedway Stadium last weekend whilst King was one of Great Britains silver medal heroes in Manchester.

Meanwhile, Swindon also include Australian World Cup stars Jason Doyle and Josh Grajczonek, whilst they have drafted in Tom Perry to guest for the injured Stefan Nielsen at reserve.

BUILDBASE BEES (from): Josh Bates, Jason Garrity, Chris Harris, Krzysztof Kasprzak, Danny King, James Sarjeant, Kacper Woryna.

SWINDON (from): Jason Doyle, Josh Grajczonek, Nick Morris, Tom Perry, Justin Sedgmen, Rohan Tungate, Charles Wright.

The usual poor guest to replace Stefan then!!

Surely we could get a stronger rider in?.

Stefan hadn't really improved his average much so he's only a 3 average.

Still think there's better options than all these inexperienced riders but guess I must be wrong.

Swindon have a great record at Cov, so will go for a swindon double, after just beating them at football yesterday...48-42 to the R oobins. Need the max number of points.

Yes, I agree. Swindon have always been Coventry's 'bogey' team and I wouldn't be at all surprised if they win tomorrow.

Not so much in 2007 though. Although we still managed a win a last heat decider at Brandon.
