Steve Shovlar
You knew where he was, you were watching the SEC! Tonight yes but home and away? Why are Coventry riding at home without their number one? Surely they would change the date?

It's a good job we aren't in the place off race as crazy having 3 meetings with no facility for your number 1 Edited August 6, 2016 by mdmc82

B.V 72
Poole on paper, biggest favourites for years most fans thought they would go through the season unbeaten and over two legs should beat anyone.Hope they dont for obvious reasons but for me they are still massive favourites to win.If i was a Poole fan and if this team does not win it i would be well pd off.As a Belle vue fan if we get to the final and can beat this team i would be well over the moon. LisaColette
Why would you be p'd off if you were a Poole fan and didn't win? Sometimes you can look good on paper and it doesn't work as well on track. One example, Darcy said Coventry would be third and look where they are!
ray c
I think it will be between Poole and belle vue with the two teams still to meet three times with Poole going Manchester twice yet my opinion belle vue may have the edge we shall see exciting though

That side with Holder, Andersen and Buck as heat leader, an aussie champion at reserve, along with experiance of Watt and now Pedersen, added in with a reserve that has been their for 6 years in Newman and the British Under 21 third place rider they should have walked this league this season as almost all pundits said. Belle Vue with a lack of home track advantage have performed wonders to be top of the league and they would be the most deserving winners
Steve Shovlar
The most deserving winners will be the team that wins the title. The poll shows Belle Vue as overwhelming favourites. Most fans expect Belle Vue to win the league, with Poole a distant second. So will Belle Vue choke like they did in 2015 or will they live up to their label as favourites? If it is a Poole V Belle Vue final, which as yet is far from certain, I certainly fancy Poole's chances of winning. Belle Vue have made a howler in running scared of Poole so much that they kept putting off the postponed meeting from the start of the season! It is now taking place a week before playoffs. So Poole will be there at the end of August, 12 days later and then a couple of weeks after that if we make the final. What were Belle Vue thinking? Utter madness on their behalf and it gives two meetings for our team of racers to get dialled in and show what they can do. Baring any late season injuries Pirates I believe Poole will prove to be too strong when it matters. There's no pressure on us being the underdogs. You have started a poll knowing that most people dislike Poole meaning they will vote for BV. Then when that happens you can say you are the underdogs! Bjarne and Hans are not racers!

He has been outstanding since coming back and at reserve is a real bonus, not the rider he was but is still better than most reserves

He got 3rd not second as he was unable to pass Bates. 😂 http://speedwayupdates.proboards.com/thread/15837/coventry-poole-el-15-2016 Would hardly call Pedersen a racer. He's always been one of the most boring riders to watch. In the 2 meetings I've watched Poole in at Brandon this year, I would say you have more gaters than racers this year. Hans struggles to pass without riding dirty nowadays. It's only really Holder & at times Buzz who I would call real racers. He has been outstanding since coming back and at reserve is a real bonus, not the rider he was but is still better than most reserves And I could have sworn I saw Hans racing hard last night in the SEC and at Poole last Wednesday. Bjarne has done a hell of a job for us. To say Poole don't have a team of racers is ridiculous. Holder, Buckowski, ellis, Kurtz, Newman don't know when to give up and both Bjarne and Andersen can be meeting winners on their day. Being underdogs to Belle Vue means we can go into the playoffs with no pressure on us but this team, as with all Poole teams, puts pressure and expectations on itself to win when it matters. Belle Vue as a club can this season feel what its like to be clear favourites. And we will see if they can live up to expectations of wearing that mantle. Hardly call him a racer because he caught up with Roynon who is a draft rider. This Poole team is full of exciting racers. Not gating tarts like King.

Haha I think you must have missed British final, World Cup and meetings at Brandon if you are calling King a gating tart. It's his gating that often let's us down. Tut tut. In the meetings I have seen Poole in at Brandon and the sky defeat against Belle Vue, I didn't see much racing from the 3 you named, just Gating. I know Ellis is capable as I watch him pass the Coventry Storm riders. Newman has been poor in the meetings I have watched him in so far this season which is why even with others having struggled he's still at reserve. Brady does try hard. Hardly think you have a team of flat out racers though but then on your track that's best. You need to make up your mind as you are calling yourself the underdogs but then selling your team as if they are all brilliant racers. 😉 Poole are the favourites with the bookies. However I think like Lakeside, their form might leave them vulnerable esp with inconsistency with a lot of the riders. Belle Vue are definitely the best team away from home.
