Steve Shovlar
Faves with bookies means nothing as Leicester FC proved. BV thrash Wolves at Monmore Green and they are not faves?? Ha ha, good one! Think its obvious to all but a cretinous few that Belle Vue are sweeping all before them and are clear favourites for the title. mikec
Getting close to the stage where Matt Ford (legally) pulls a rabbit out of the hat as the playoffs get close, as he did with Hancock in recent times. Not having all this Poole spin that they are underdogs, Belle Vue not winning the league would be a choke etc. Absolute garbage! Ford will be weighing up his options in terms of strengthening up - & with 2 pre-playoff trips to the NSS pending, I expect him to act. Not to mention CVS & Pete Adams will be mulling over potential targets tonight too, that defeat will have stung after a really good season to date. Yes the Aces are on a good run, & have been great to watch home & away this season - but the trophy is presented at the end of Sept/early Oct. This Elite League title race is far from over. Aces51
Not nailed on but Poole have got to pick up at least 15 points away less any Belle Vue drop at home to overtake us. I would say we are in the much stronger position. Our away performances show how strong we are. If we had the sort of home advantage Poole have we would be uncatchable. Sorry, I got it wrong. Poole have to pick up 19 not 15 points on their travels. 7 matches left so 5 wins and two draws could do it unless we drop points at home, whenthey'll need less or, Poole do and they'll need more. Think its obvious to all but a cretinous few that Belle Vue are sweeping all before them and are clear favourites for the title.wow this is quite incredible that you both do not understand what the word favourite means as opposed to your opinion!!! Ok one last time. Poole are favourites with every bookmaker in the country. You can't argue with that as that is a fact. Does it mean they will win the league??? No it doesn't. What it means is that they are still the favourites to win it. Your opinion is that Belle Vue are favourites. They aren't that is a fact. Now for what it's worth I think Belle Vue will win the league but until they are currently second favourites. Man City are favourites for the premier league, I think that Man Utd will win it and should be favourites but the FACTS are that Man City are. I'm getting bored of the lack of intelligence trying to explain what odds mean. Is this just an issue in Dorset??

Come back when they are favourites with the bookies then your opinion will be correct. But then again it's your opinion that Belle Vue are favourites. Have to say starting a thread to get your excuses in early is trolling if the highest order.

I Think Gavans knowledge of speedway is a little limited Lisa. Anyone with a bit of speedway savvy knows that Belle Vue, sweeping all before them and clear at the top of the league are obviously favourites. To argue any different really just shows a lack of intellingence.

Scott0311
Ladbrokes can't separate Poole and Belle Vue - both at 5/4 so it's going to be a draw Edited August 8, 2016 by Scott0311

I said I think Belle Vue will win the league. The discussion that you can't get you tiny pea brained(your words) head around is that in the eyes of all the bookmakers Poole are still favourites. Keep banging your little trolling drum there pal. Uneducated i guess because you still don't get the difference between opinion and fact!!! My opinion and yours is that Belle Vue will win the league, however the favourites are Poole. Now run along and start up another little thread that you can troll away on
mikec
Here you go, it's going to be a draw https://sports.ladbrokes.com/en-gb/betting/speedway/ Wolves get Woffy back somehow & that 7/1 looks worth a punt! Gavan
Ladbrokes can't separate Poole and Belle Vue - both at 5/4 so it's going to be a draw Paddy Power and Betfair have Poole still slight favourites. As I pointed out as soon as Belle Vue are shorter odds than Poole then the forum troll will be right in saying Belle Vue are favourites. Until then it's opinion

But after tonights result I think its impossible now to catch Belle Vue and we will be heading to whoever Belle Vue chose not to meet. They may chose to go back to Monmore as clearly the place holds no fear for them. Mind you I doubt any of the other playoff teams will hold fear and they must be confident of winning every leg. John Leslie
Belle Vue know they have got the beating of Wolves, so there must be a temptation to pick their nearest challengers and knock them out in the semis. But Swindon with all their Aussies are the strongest visitors to Manchester, so I would let Wolves take on Swindon and try to get them out of the way. Belle Vue should take on whichever other team scrapes through to the play-offs, Lakeside/Poole and put them out. That should hopefully leave Wolves for the final who they know they can easily beat, and who are also the nearest geographical rivals and will bring the most travelling support
