g13webb
Poole by 25 -30 Its nice to win, but its not the be all of everything.... The perfect scenario is to always be competitive and put on a show for the paying public. There's nothing more off putting than a runaway victories and team rolling over. They do no-one, or the sport any favours at all. Poole is always be a hard place to go and get a result. I can remember being here, 14 pts in front and still beaten by the terrible two in heat 15, But at least we were competitive. Tonight will be very difficult. Its hard to see where we can score enough points ....
damosuzuki
At least the weather looks good. Kind of hoping the Elite starts to pick up again. It feels like it's been half a season and then this break over the summer has killed the buzz about it.
SteveLyric2
Loads of Buzz at Poole - usually at number 3!! :-)
damosuzuki
TBH it was probably watching Coventry the other night that depressed me. Brandon looks terrible on the telly even with a half decent crowd. Poole to win 56-

damosuzuki
Half decent crowd?? There was hardly anyone there!! Somebody on here said it was bigger than the usual Sky crowd! Honestly it's depressing watching it when there's no atmosphere - they should funnel all the fans into two or three specific areas surely to give it a bit of noise and excitement. Gemini
Yes, the crowd was bigger than normal for a Sky match but still looks sparse with all the terrace area available at Brandon. I don't agree with using specific areas though as I used to hate Wolverhampton all being squashed in on the home straight. The nice thing about Speedway is that usually you can have a wander round and watch from different places if you wish. Anyway, sitting on the 4th bend near the massive flags, horns and siren we had enough excitement thank you. Kept Lucy awake all evening and I had flash backs to the 1939-1945 war. mdmc82
We had meetings Fri & Sat do the crowd was bound to be a lot less with it being on tv. Stadium very open so people dotted around. Crowds are very good when not televised, which is good seeing we have struggled this season. Didn't Ford recently show concern for your fallen crowds in the paper? Not good when you have a strong team, always win and still numbers are down. Numbers are down everywhere, it's not a competition. A post said it was a half decent crowd there. If that is half decent then I would worry what low would look like.
cityrebel
I went to IOW last Thursday, lakeside Friday, peterborough Sunday and kent on Monday. There were decent crowds at all four venues, so it's not all doom and gloom.

Star Fever
Ellis would score more at reserve imo. Thats not the point lol .... the opposition 6+7 EDRs shouldnt have to face such experienced riders in the reserve races! Ive no objections to EDRs riding in the top 5 but riders like Pedersen/Karlsson/ R.Worrall/ Sedgemen/Klindt etc should NOT be able to drop down! There should be 3 EDRs per team and they should fight it out between themselves for a top 5 position.
Trees
They shouldn't have taken the edr races into account for averages from the get go this season, then the edrs would have proper averages against the 2nd strings, same re the 2nd strings to work out who should be at reserve .....

If you want too see a decent crowd at Coventry go to you tube and type in Cov v Cradley 1983 now that's a crowd not the pissy amount you get now, just a normal league meeting
