A ORLOV
Kings Lynn come to Blunsdon this thursday and if the Robins hope to get to the play offs this is a meeting we must win. Swindon have Adam Roynon in place of the injured Stefan Nielsen and Kings Lynn have Lewis Kerr in place of Simon Lambert. http://www.swindonrobins.co/news.php?extend.2737 When the Robins have had a break before we have taken time to get back to normal but we should be able to get 3 points in this one. The Stars have a strong line up and should possibly push us to get 1 point. One other bit of news is that Darcy Ward should be making a visit prior to heading over to Poland, so any Darcy tee shirts on show might be a nice gesture. Sidney the robin
Great news that Darcy is going to be there i wish him well i think the Stars will be a stern test.Could be a close home win, Lambert / B Jacobsen will be dangerous really looking forward to it.The last Belle Vue meeting seems like it was months ago we have been starved of live racing at the Abbey recently. Yes Mark, we will have to get behind Lambert against the Swindon Aussies!!!
Crazy robin
Another home defeat in this meeting & with Poole still to come & a likely defeat in that one, this would surely end our play off hopes so lets hope the Robins 2nd strings will be in better form than the rubbish they showed against Belle Vue. g13webb
Hard one to call. Head says Swindon, the heart says Lynn. The Stars have turned a corner of late and are now putting up a much stronger account of themselves. I have no doubt we will be a sterner test, than before, and that Swindon will need to be firing on all cylinders to secure all the points. I expect at least one point from our travels, but all 3 is not the distant dream it once was......... Should be a good meeting......with a decent crowd, especial with Darcy putting in appearance.... Not sure about the defeat, the lads from Somerset have been riding well in the last few days, and Sedgy has tweeted that he has found and sorted the problem he has had the last few meetings. With KL having some good riders it should be a good meeting.
tellboy
I think Swindon will win this.Rory Schlein has struggled since his comeback, and i think we need all our riders firing to get an away result.
theblueboy
Batch to receive a rapturous round of applause on his return from the home straight faithful. Orion, If you can give your air horn an extra squeeze in appreciation of the Batchmeister it would be much appreciated. Schlein looks like he is struggling with match fitness. PUK to look a million dollars in a couple of races and Lambert to be there or thereabouts and make it interesting. Kerr looked OK in a couple of races the last time he showed for The Irons but Chas should have him in his pocket and if CW doesn't get 5 rides tomorrow then Rosco needs to have a good word with himself... 52-40. Trees
Wasn't gonna bother with this one cos it's not always a good track for the Stars but it's ages again since we've watched the team race, so off we go And Darcy, who would not want to give the guy a cheer.

A ORLOV
A few reasons to go to this meeting tonight It should be a good meeting D Ward will be visiting After this meeting we do not have a home meeting till Aug 22 Weather looks to be ok.
oldswindonsupporter
So Rosco says "I really don’t like using the words ‘must-win" but that is in reality what tonight is all about, if the 3 points is not forthcoming that means a win against Poole is another "must-win". For me out of the two fixtures, KL and Poole, this on paper seems the easier. Just hoping that the Swindon riders are prepared and the track suits. Planning to travel down from Reading so, see you there!

Bit cloudy but hopefully that wind will blow anything across, should be a close meeting but whether it's a good one...lol KL harder to predict than us tonight you know what you get with PUK it does what it says on the fuel tank , Lambert has yet to really impress at the Stade but feel tonight he may well do, Rory erm could still struggle although if the track is prepared ok who knows, NBJ no real idea , Lewis boys could be a handful for Wright although i see Kerr is at 2? Not easy for him and that kind of leaves Troy? What's he gonna do? Either gate and win or miss the gate shut off into the corner and pull up after 3 laps...could be interesting...as for us? Doyle and prob JG apart god knows!

tellboy
Looks like the Stars blew it, Didn't blow it in my mind.believed we wouldn't win before the meeting and so it proved. We are not good enough to be anywhere near the play-offs.Both of these teams would be beaten by Poole or Belle Vue in the play-offs easily imo

Should have picked up a point the absolute minimum.
