Pob
2 points tonight good team performance from the Witches. Sounds like Garrity has come back full of fire from his lay off .

Baldyman
Not sure about upwards but it's defo onwards. Next weekend we have another 2 massive away matches against another 2 teams that are hard to beat at home. But maybe just maybe, ya never know. Makes so much difference having a reserve that can actually score some points.
Hel'n'Back
Good luck Ipswich, god knows what's happening with the Sheffield team, started so strong..
Cue Ball
Will Sheffield's top 5 ever ride well on the same night? Garrity was immense, although how he only got pulled back once for his starting is beyond me, Stead looked OK and was unfortunate in his last (although not as unfortunate as Covatti), Bates was better than of late, although still rides like he's chasing the hare on the dog track, and then you have the heros of the past few weeks in the form of Berge and Howarth who both had mares by their standards. If all 5 ever ride to their ability in one meeting, somebody will get absolutely tonked at Owlerton. I won't mention the reserves. Fair play to Ipswich, they rode well and deserved the draw, although judging by King's tirade at his mechanic in the pits after heat 15, I don't think he was happy with it! TB1
These 2 points could be vital come the end of the season.
Pob
Ok so hearing that Garrity was wearing number 5 last night but was programmed to ride at 4 . So can someone explain if this was the case why he wasn't excluded or sent back to the pits to get it changed , surely this is the same sort of thing as having the wrong helmet colour on ? Baldyman
It's not a professional sport, otherwise it wouldn't have been allowed to happen. Someone told me the ipswich management were made aware of it and didn't do anything about it. And before someone else says it......does it really matter??? In proper sports run at a professional level yes, but in speedway no. Edited August 5, 2016 by baldyman
dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
Wouldnt have changed a thing regard the racing and result but is the thin end of the wedge. Ignore that and whats next? Rider on 2 mins and gets on track at 2 min 5 secs and oh well its only 5 secs..... etc
Pob
No far from it wouldn't have changed the result but it seems to be all the little things like this that make the rules and regulations of this sport a joke . Mickey Mouse springs to mind , what hope have we got for this sport to move on
dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
Ok so hearing that Garrity was wearing number 5 last night but was programmed to ride at 4 not sure if the rumour is true - they planned to gaffer tape over the number to correct it but couldnt find any. Seems with Boxall signing for Plymouth he has used the whole UK stockpile putting his bikes together. wink
Baldyman
I'm sure it's one of the biggest reasons why the leagues are not sponsored. It's just not professional enough.

As long as he had the right helmet colour on and didn't ride across the centre green on his way to the tapes ,the rest is irrelevant ,the sport is Mickey Mouse anyway.4 men/4laps is all it is about nowadays. Witches Top 5's all riding well at the same time? We've had that, Not! from the Witches all season combined with virtually zero scoring reserves hence all the team changes. So we know how you feel only to well, but at least you're residing in the top six whereas a playoff finish for us is only a dream! Don't be too hard on your side, they ain't doing too bad.
