Comet Dan
These meetings are usually pretty close and I'm sure this will be no exception as both sides look to push for the play off places. Comets - Wells, Campton, Hansen, Jensen, Vissing, Roynon, Williamson Diamonds - Lambert, Palovaara, Kus, Lindgren, Worrall, Rose, Phillips
soupy
Should be a close meeting.I think it was mentioned on Sunday at Newcastle that it is£ 10 adult entry to this meeting, what a fine gesture& hope the favour is returned.I am missing this one as it is me&my brother& sister trip up to Belford in the afternoon to remember my parents.Hope it is a safe& enjoyable night. Comet Dan
Hopefully Sunday's big crowd will return, it is £10 for adults and £1 for children. Edited August 2, 2016 by Comet Dan
scaramanga
hopefully it pays off as many say all over speedway forums speedway is a £10 sport unfortunatly we all know the crowds arnt big enough to make it pay at £10 a head dont know if it was just the meeting being close or the bigger crowd but there was a better atmosphere sunday
dantodan
Yeah at £10.00 watching a speedway match is good value entertainment but the £15/£16 admission is too much for some people who are obviously staying away. Well done Workington we fans salute you and hope your weeking attendance goes up a notch as a result. £20.00 probably coming your way from me and my daughter. We haven't travelled over for a few seasons. Both teams have very entertaining riders so hopefully a big crowd will see many great heats. The only problem for Workington will be if Newcastle can track their full side, if so Newcastle to win a close match

If LL, MK, VP and LR have decent meetings we may have a chance - hopefully get at least a point. Edited August 3, 2016 by acclennell
Arson fire
Lambert will surely get more than his last, although was it his first visit?
comet49
Yeh, sure it was his first visit, at least the Comets should be at full strength, Adam Roynon's pts. were missed against Pboro, sure he would have scored a few.
idanthyrsus
Seeing that both teams are full strength I'll probably make the trip to watch this. If nothing else it will be a test of the car after having both turbo's and the camshaft replaced.....

ruffdiamond
it sounds like it has the fuel economy of a jumbo jet ! but thats ok, cos the speedway is only 10 pound
diamond@heart
If we can contain the Comets over the first 5-6 heats I think we may be in with a chance of the win. In the League Cup we let them pull out a decent lead over those heats and we never really recovered. Should be a good meeting and hoping for a Diamonds win!! As you obivously weren't there, perhaps a decorous silence might be the next best thing. To quote "It is best to be though a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt". There are 2 turnstiles near the grandstand or 2 onto turns 1&2. The stadium parking is £1.50 and there is parking around by Tesco on the grass or side street. We were fortunate enough to fill the car park last week with 25 mins to go so hopefully it will be just as busy again!
