Steve Shovlar
Its Michael Palm Toft in place of Bjarne. I'm surprised Swindon did not object as it there normal race night maybe they OK it Not sure what Swindon riding on a Thursday has to do with Poole riding on a Thursday. We are 70 miles apart. Steve Shovlar
Crowd not bad considering its Leicester and two matches in two days. Weak teams like this do the sport no good at all. Men against boys. Going to be cheering Leicester to win some races at this rate.

Men against boys. Going to be cheering Leicester to win some races at this rate. Agree about weak teams but the sport then compounds the issue by not letting a weak team improve to the level of the team with the highest average, (in sport the best should be the benchmark for the rest).. Â Poole start tonight approx 8 points higher as a team average, yet Leicester (if they wished) could still only bring replacement riders in using the start of season/contrived/best guess average which is much lower than the averages the top teams are now running on... Â Cant be good for their business, the home tracks business when they visit, and the sport in general to let the weak teams stay weak... Â Yet its done year in, year out by the sports own regulations..
Steve Shovlar
Just got back, not a bad meeting in the end. A few good races when Leicester made a gate. Â Holder in brilliant form, fast and untouchable. Â Cant be bothered with a full match review it was so one sided. Â Poole up to third, two behind Wolves with 4 meetings in hand. Aces51
The best way to look at the league table is home points lost against away points gained. The current table is  Belle Vue +20 Wolves +15 Poole +7 Lakeside +4 Swindon +1 Kings Lynn-4 Coventry -6 Leicester -18  From that it looks as if Belle Vue and Wolves are fairly certain of a top 4 finish. Poole are likely to get there, certainly if they pick up more away points although they could be in danger if they don't and lose points at home. The fourth place is up for grabs especially if Swindon can pick up a couple of away wins and Lakeside continue with their poor away form. Poole are only two points behind Wolves with 4 meetings in hand. Â Poole can finish top. Three points at home to belle Vue and a win in Manchester will almost be enough, unless Belle Vue win at Lakeside on Friday. Then, Poole will have to win at Kings Lynn and Leicester. Â Too close to call who will finish top. Either Poole or Belle Vue.
RobMcCaffery
Poole overall may have four matches in hand but they have ridden ten times at home to Wolves' eight so the true position is that Wolves have two home matches in hand on Poole, which you would expect them to convert to six points, while Poole have six away matches in hand which they would need to get eight points to match them from the six away matches they have in hand to draw level in the long run. Â Aces51 has quoted a modern equivalent of the old 'form guide' which was always a very good guide to the underlying positions. If Belle Vue, Wolves and Poole won all of their remaining home matches and failed to collect any away points Belle Vue would finish five ahead of Wolves who would in turn finish eight ahead of Poole. Â So Poole have overall a net of four matches in hand on Wolves but most of their work has to be done away from home. Wolves have just one away match left while Poole have seven, half their season's schedule so there is everything to race for but it is not as simple ass being portrayed. Lakeside will face Coventry home and away with the bees having no Kaspazak in either meeting and no facility which will be 7pts for Lakeside there. I think Belle Vue have a great chance of finishing top as Poole's away form is very poor so far this year. We are very average at Coventry this year and yet they have lost both their away meetings at Brandon. poole keith
top spot in the league is definitely aces to lose, poole v wolves great semi, then will the aces be able to overcome their play-off final jitters this yr?

You would still have to pick up more away points and not lose at home again to Belle Vue.
